"We had quite an amazing experience at Marvel Hills. Location very good for local access, complete privacy in the room, and a host who was quite exceptional. Freshly prepared local cuisine for breakfast, great chats with the host, he even arranged for a local spice seller to come and see us, so now we have enough, high quality, spices to last for a good while. We had Chulan who looked after us during our stay and was very attentive and helpful. This place is old charm but with modern day facilities. "The property and staff were all amazing. The breakfast and dinner was good. Getting a ride via pick me can take some time as not all drivers want to come up the hill. Make sure you a lot enough time for travel. We were going to be late for our train because a PickMe driver canceled. But the hotel made some calls and arranged for a quick Tuk Tuk ride and we made it right in time. "

The only negative does not relate to the hotel itself maybe more about the city of Kandy, its very nosey and busy, we were hounded by local traders and drivers all day which compared to other parts of the country we would not have the same experienceits "

The team preparing our meals was attentive and clearly took pride in their work, creating an exceptional Sri Lankan breakfast that showcased local flavors beautifully. We also enjoyed the dinner option, which was well-prepared and satisfying. Every request we had was met with a smile and genuine willingness to help.
Our room was spacious, clean, and had breathtaking views overlooking Kandy — a perfect spot to unwind. The addition of a private hot tub was an unexpected luxury that added to the relaxing atmosphere.
The lush gardens surrounding the property made the entire place feel peaceful and inviting. It was the ideal setting to slow down and enjoy the natural beauty of the area.
