"Our family of five was very comfortable here and Celine is a gracious and responsive host. The house is within walking distance of two grocery stores and Château Gaillard. Amboise city center is a short drive away with many shops and restaurants. "

"We had an excellent stay at Ballan-Miré. The house is really nice and well furnished, including towels and tea towels, BBQ, outside seating etc. The beds were done on arrival which is really appreciated. The house was clean and a good size, with two large bathrooms. The garden is big and really nice and sunny. WiFi is working well. There is a large supermarket 5 min drive away. No shops at walking distance. The hosts are welcoming, helpful and discreet. Overall a very positive experience! "

"We had a great stay. The accommodation is a short drive to many Loire Valley towns, attractions, and shops. There’s a small grocery store 2kms away in Monteaux selling local produce, including baguettes, vegetables, cold meats and wine. The Chateau du Chaumont is just across the Loire River. Great markets in Amboise and Leonardo da Vinci’s residence at Chateau du Clos Lucé is must with children - an exciting educational and immersive experience . "Nous avons passé un très chouette week-end dans cette jolie maison du centre d’Amboise. Refaite à neuf dans une ancienne maison un peu troglodyte, elle a beaucoup de cachet et est bien équipée ! Et tout est à proximité ! Juste à noter l’escalier un peu raide pour de jeunes enfants."

The house isn’t right in the city center but we were able to walk or ride bikes into town very conveniently. The only real negative was the checkin and checkout process as the place where we had to pick up and drop off the key was not close by especially if you were in a rush or didn’t have a car. "Julien was a wonderful host. Very quick in response to txt messages. Secure parking was great. Aldi’s supermarket near by. Easy walk into Amboise across the bridge. Complete kitchen with all needed equipment plus coffee & filters and spices for cooking. Entire apartment very clean. Self checkin was as described and very easy. 1 minute walk from train station."

Private parking (you’ll need it if staying in the old part of town!) and everything just as advertised. Géraldine was beyond accommodating in meeting us for check in and out. We even got champagne for Christmas and an advent calendar for the kids.
