"We cannot say enough positive things about the gardenia garden house. It was a wonderful location to explore the beaches and hiking spots around Chania, and experience the lovely culture of the people of Sternes. It is within 10 minutes of the airport but feels a world away. Comfortable furnishings surrounded by lemon and olive trees,herbs to cook with in its well equipped kitchen all made it a comfortable home for us. Hoping to return to this lovely spot!"

"The location was fantastic. It was very close to restaurants and supermarkets. It was also an easy walk to the old port and all the sea sites. There were 4 weekly food markets that could also be reached walking. The only issues we had were a language barrier for operation of the stove/range and the washing machine /dryer.
