"Modern Kyriad. My room was located above reception, very noisy! I found the doors to the bedrooms too small, you struggle with your luggage. The room was small with bed against the wall so accessible from one side only. The bed itself was comfortable. "This is a modest hotel, more in the style of a motel - that is NOT a criticism. We used it for a one night stay (as a break in a long journey) and we arrived fairly late in the day, we learned later,after the time the reception normally closed but the staff were there to welcome us. "Arrived at the end of the season when the region was very quiet, so some amenities closed. In full season there would have been lots to do including the floral park next door. Castle has an interesting history and ornate facade and is complete with Rapunzel tower and grand salon. Our room was up high with a pleasant view of the drive. Owners are developing and has lots of potential. Owner keen to please. Calm and relaxing environment."
