"We spent 5 nights at the thatched cottage to use as a home base for day trips to Southern Ireland. It was like stepping back in time but with modern conveniences!! The large farm was peaceful and so much fun to explore. The property was close to Adare for stores and restaurants but yet so private. We did love being visited very day by the two dogs!! "Great staff at the reception and a very nice hotel in general. It was very clean. I was given a room for people in wheelchairs for some reason so the bathroom was a bit strange to use as a person who’s not in a wheelchair but it was ok as I was there for only 2 nights. The restaurant is nice as well. Food was ok. They gave me 14€ discount for the restaurant when I checked in which was a nice surprise. The waiter didn’t know English well, but it was possible to communicate with him. "

"Rooms are clean, spacious and beds incredibly comfy. All the staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Both breakfast & dinner were delicious, though the menu did feel a little limited, especially for vegetarian options. Pool/Sauna facilities were clean & well maintained, only negative being that there seems to be no time limit in place. Groups sitting in the hot tub for over an hour meaning no one else could use it. Feel this could be managed better. Overall though a great hotel, walking distance from city centre. Would definitely recommend and stay again."

Lovely stay at the Limerick Strand

"Lovely stay at the Limerick Strand. The room was huge! The bed was very comfortable. It would be ideal for working from, as there is a large desk. There is is a desk infront of a mirror for doing makeup, too - does not always happen in hotels! Huge selection at the breakfast buffet - only one small change there - better sausages :) Added bonus - the pool, sauna and jacuzzi! Would definitley stay there again if in Limerick!"
