"Lovely old building in quiet location. Unusually, was able to book a single room which helps keep costs down when travelling solo. Although compact, it had everything needed for a stopover and was attractively decorated and spotlessly clean."
"The friendly owners and a very clean, quiet and comfortable room within easy walking distance to all the amenities make The Grafton a great place to stay. We would definitely book again. "

DoubleTree by Hilton Harrogate Majestic Hotel & Spa
10/10 Excellent
" Our first visit to Harrogate. Came to see our grandsons passing out parade, at the army barracks Had a great stay at doubletree. Was given a great room. Swimming pool and spa was excellent. Perfect for visiting Harrogate.
Staff were very helpful and accommodating.
The only bad thing was the car parking charge .
Would like to return, but not sure we want to pay the car park charge."
"Had a lovely one night stay. Richard and Karen were very good hosts. Room was nice, with a very comfortable bed. Good facilities, en-suite. Nice touch was the fresh milk in the fridge, just outside the room for tea and coffee, along with a couple of bottles of water. Also had a couple of bars of chocolate on the hospitality tray! Although property is in centre of town it is on a small side road and is very quiet. Parking is nearby, which Richard directs you to and is very reasonably priced. Breakfast was delicious, which you choose the night before (for cooked), so it is prepared fresh. Also choice of cereals, juice, fresh fruit, plus cooked and toast. The breakfast room is overlooking a small courtyard garden with bird feeders. Lovely to see the birds coming down whilst having breakfast. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend. Thank you."
"Lovely hotel in a great spot in Harrogate! Everything is within walking distance and the building itself is gorgeous. The room was clean, tea & coffee well stocked and towels were very fresh & fluffy. Breakfast itself was tasty and located on the 5th floor, giving great views! "
"Great selection for breakfast and very tasty. Comfy bed. It was market day (Wednesday) so traffic was really busy, we was having trouble finding somewhere to park, I telephoned the hotel and asked if it was okay to park early, they said yes and also I asked if we could park beyond our checkout time and they said yes. So stress free excellent service and experience 👍"
"Booked as a last minute trip away - would definitely recommend and return. Staff extremely welcoming and friendly, hotel was clean and bed comfortable. Hotel within walking distance of the town centre, and also a great base for exploring North Yorkshire."
"Very clean and comfortable. Well equipped kitchen. However, the spiral staircase is very steep and narrow and not suitable for anyone with mobility problems or for small children. We didn't get the private parking spaces as described as visitors to the cafe and caravan owners seemed to use these. That said it really is a lovely cottage in a beautiful location and ideal for exploring the surrounding area. "
"Carefully preserved historic property in the heart of Knaresborough. You feel like you’ve walked back in time — except for the shower, which is excellent! Location is also excellent, separated by a courtyard from the main house fronting on Market Square. Very quiet considering it’s next door to a lively pub. "
