This just-renovated (FEB 2022) classic Charleston Single home is the perfect property to enjoy all Charleston has to offer! This 3-story house has beautiful porches on the first & second floors. This home has one of the tallest rooftop patios in Cannonborough with unparalleled views, and is located just two blocks from the Historic Upper King Street Restaurant & Design District.

The Space:
This property was beautifully renovated and updated in February 2022 with new paint throughout the interior and exterior, refinished cabinetry and new countertops/backsplash in the kitchen.

This highly desirable area is where Charleston is growing and many of the city's top restaurants and boutiques are just a short stroll away from this lovely home. Enjoy morning coffee on one of two covered porches as you take in the great street views and cooling breeze. Or enjoy a sunset cocktail on the rooftop porch overlooking the gorgeous city skyline and the stunning Cooper River Bridge. Two yoga mats along with yoga blocks and an exercise ball are also provided if rooftop yoga is your desire.

The home has three spacious bedrooms, each with a new queen bed and furnished with luxury linens. The home features a full bath on the second and third levels along with a half bath on the main floor. Hardwood floors are throughout the house and the 3rd floor primary suite features a private rooftop porch, en suite bathroom and large dual closets. Each bedroom has new flat screen televisions and the living room features a new 42" flat screen television.

Brand new linens and towels are top quality and plentiful throughout the home. Shampoo, conditioner, and soap, lighted make up mirrors, and hair dryers are provided in each upstairs bathroom and closet space is ample in each room. Two off-street parking spaces are provided adjacent to the house allowing for convenient loading and unloading. All new beds too!

The open main floor living area is perfect for entertaining as it boasts an eat-in bar area with seating for 4 people. The porch on the first level opens to the street. A comfortable pull-out sofa is located in the living area along with stylish accent furniture and a large mirror. The home sleeps 6 comfortably in the 3 queen beds, however additional guests are welcome to sleep on the pull-out sofa allowing us to accommodate up to 8 guests.

There is complimentary high speed WiFi and cable with HBO.

A new washer and dryer are located next to the half bath and detergent is provided along with all necessary paper products during your stay. The kitchen is equipped with all new flatware, silverware and cookware. The coffee make and toaster oven are new and the kitchen includes a full size refrigerator, oven and microwave. Games, cards, and poker chips are also provided for your entertainment along with high speed internet (75Mbps) and over 140 Comcast cable channels including ESPN and the Golf Channel.

We provide starter supplies for your stay to include a small shampoo, conditioner and body wash per person, 3 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom, 2 dishwasher tabs, small bottle of dish soap, 1 roll of paper towels, 1 spare trash bag, 2 packs of coffee and a handful of small creamers. After these initial supplies run out, we do not offer additional supplies. There are several convenience stores and grocery stores in the area for your convenience.

Guest Access:
Once you confirm your reservation at The Wonderer, you will receive a link to book your time to visit the Campus. Please note, all fitness classes and ticketed events are offered based on availability and may come at an additional cost. Day Passes are available with required pre-registration via a link that will be shared with you upon booking.

Day pass reservations at The Wonderer for guests of this property are completely free of charge. The Wonderer’s on-site parking lot is a paid lot, however there is free on-street parking in the area subject to availability.

Please note: availability at The Wonderer is not guaranteed without a confirmed reservation. The number of available day passes remains strictly first-come, first-serve. If you plan to enjoy The Wonderer anytime between April 15th - September 1st, we strongly suggest booking in advance to guarantee access.

The Wonderer has a minimum age requirement of 25 years old (unless you're a member, a guest of a member, or receive a special exception from club management).

Other Things to Note:
Pet policy: As much as we love the four-legged members of your family, we do not allow pets at this property. Any sign of pets will incur additional fees starting at $500.

Please note that there is a noise ordinance in this neighborhood after 11pm daily, so if you are enjoying yourself please take the party inside and be considerate of the neighbors.

No smoking is allowed. Violators will be fined for in-room smoke damages. Smoking is only permitted outside of the property at least 10 feet away please.

Please note that COVID-related cancellations are no longer honored. If a positive COVID diagnosis or exposure to COVID prohibits or alters the guest (or any individuals in the guest's group) from traveling to the property, the standard cancellation policy will remain in force. Should a guest choose to cancel their reservation under these circumstances, a refund will not be issued, and we shall have no liability with respect to the reservation.

Extenuating Circumstances Hurricane Policy: If a Mandatory Evacuation Order is issued by the Governor during the dates of your stay specifically for the county in which the property is located, the extenuating circumstances policy will be in effect and we will refund any deposits or payments paid by the guest. We shall have no additional liability concerning the reservation. However, if a Mandatory Evacuation Order is NOT issued, then THE STANDARD CANCELLATION POLICY WILL REMAIN IN EFFECT SHOULD THE GUEST CHOOSE TO CANCEL THEIR RESERVATION. If inclement weather in any other part of the country or world during the dates of stay prohibits or alters the guest (or any individuals in the guest's group) from traveling to the property, a refund will not be issued, and we shall have no liability with respect to the reservation. During months where there is a potential for inclement weather, such as hurricane season, we strongly recommend guests purchase travel insurance.

It’s All About the Details
The location was a plus, I.e. near King and two very good breakfast and dinner spots on Cannon ( literally less than 500 steps). Quite noisy but in fairness it was back to college week. While the house was very nice and stocked well ( TP, towels, utensils etc) the dishes were not clean, the couch was heavily stained as well as the extended chair. The clothes washer needs to be aired and washed out as it stunk. The patios were loaded with debris as well. The fridge ran very cold and seemed to not function well as we put a paper towel inside and it froze. (leaking from freezer ). The freezer didn’t make ice and we couldn’t place the arm down to expedite since it was frozen. Floors are rather beaten up. There were chips on the floor, so we question whether or not it was vacuumed before our visit. 3.5 out of 5. Thank you.

You never know if the pictures are gonna be accurate and I haven’t used Vrbo in 7 years because my last experience was so bad. I’ll have to say this trip has been a totally different experience!!! This place was better than the pictures. Everything was clearly marked, instructions were great and it was immaculately cleaned. Every detail down to the bow on the paper towels was thought of. Please don’t hesitate to rent this property.

We couldn't have found a better place to stay for a wedding weekend and family time. The location was ideal for exploring Charleston and access to wedding activities. We enjoyed all 3 porches with our morning coffee and people watching. The location was a close enough to King street for walking yet far enough away from all the active bars. Communication was very responsive and accomodating; we were able to extend our checkout by a couple hours to allow for our flight home. We look forward to staying here again on our next Charleston visit.

House was beautiful and spotless. In a great neighborhood with shops and restaurants. We walked everywhere. If you're flying in, you could easily get around without a car. The neighborhood felt very safe. We were able to park a full-size truck and two Harley motorcycles in the parking spot provided We sat out on the front porch in the evening and everyone that walked by was friendly and happy. My only regret is that we didn't stay longer. You won't be disappointed if you choose to stay here.

Had a group of 5 friends stay for a semi annual girls trip. Great location, super clean, great lay out. Had everything we needed while we were there. Easy check in, check out. The Wonderer day pass included was helpful on our last day, as they valet bags while we waited for our evening flight. Would def recommend.

Great place, very clean, neat, comfortable, well designed. The checking process super easy, check out even more so. We paid a bit extra in competition to other locations and it was well worth it. Highly recommend it and I’ll be back for sure. Just one note - two SUVs barely fit in the parking spots. It was tight and the car was sticking out a bit but it worked out.

This is the perfect place to stay in Charleston! The property is beautiful and conveniently located in town and the property managers are super responsive if you have questions or need assistance. Since parking is so limited, it would be convenient to have some information on hand about how the shuttle service works and what other public transportation is available. And, I say this everywhere I stay, I find that, at least for the first night, a list of favorite eating spots in the area would be helpful. People are tired and not up for navigating the city, but do need something to eat ... it would be appreciated. The neighborhood is noisy, especially late at night. This may have been a fluke, but we had trouble charging electronic devices from both the kitchen counter outlets and the third-floor bedroom. Both devices charged fine when we were at other facilities.

Great location and Host. A little loud.
We had a great trip. The property was as advertised and the host was attentive. Just an FYI that Cannon is a loud street and two of the bedrooms are right up against it. You can literally hear conversations from the sidewalk in the 2nd and 3rd floor bedrooms. If you are planning on late nights it is probably not a big deal. For a family in bed by 10 it did impact our ability to sleep, especially on the weekend.
