Not as expected
It was not as expected or as the pictures show. It’s very aged and not in a charming way they cover up the damage with paint not fix it. There was a smell to the house that was not enjoyable and it felt very dirty. The sheets had hair on them and we found a joint on the table when we arrived to check in.

The location was accurate and is conveniently located without being in the middle of downtown. We had an initial issue with our thermostat that the owner quickly and effectively handled which was greatly appreciated. The property is nice and would stay there again.

The home was clean and stocked well with dishware. Close enough to King St. that my family had no problem with the walk. Overall it was a good experience for us.

Older home in downtown Charleston
We enjoyed our stay. The host communicated very well. As advertised. Location is about a $10 uber to many of the sites of historic Charleston. You can walk to King Street, but keep in mind King Street is a long street and many of the sites our group wanted to see were near the French Quarter which is a 35 minute walk or so. We ended up driving and using parking garages for our day trips. It's an old home, basic amenities, clean, and functional. I didn't think it about it when booking and looking at the pictures, but the only place to eat was at a bar with two bar stools which may or may not work depending on your group. We enjoyed our stay in Charleston very much, - what a great town!

This was a nice house to stay in. The house was charming but a bit run down. The pictures make the property look more modern than it actually is.

Weekend celebration
We stayed here for 3 nights and it was perfect for the three of us. Nice and clean, great location. When the electric door lockpad died, they answered the phone immediately to help us get in and a technician was there 15 minutes later to replace the batteries. Would stay again!

Good price for a nice stay
Though our group wasn't in love with this rental due to the room layout and tiny bathroom, it was a good price and a safe neighborhood. Pros: safe area. Great price. Clean. Very responsive host. Amenities were good (kitchen had great appliances and was stocked well). Quiet area. Very comfy beds. Very comfy couch. Cute porch. Walking distance to some good food spots. Ample parking. Cons: No blackout shades in front room (streetlights are on all night). If neighbors upstairs are heavy footed late at night (they were), you will hear it. Weird layout - you enter and are greeted with the (very small) bathroom door straight ahead. You have to walk down a hall (with a toe buster hazard transition strip) to the living area. There was no kitchen table and the kitchen counter had only 2 chairs. Because it's an older home, the floors are slanted (due to house settling) and many outlets do not work. Overall, one could say the home is definitely "well worn". I would say that overall it was a nice stay, and reiterate it was VERY clean and comfortable and the host very responsive. However, I think the description of the property would be better to include "historic home with vintage charm" or something like that. Pictures make you think it will be bright and airy and it's a bit dark in the living room area, with a funky smell (a bit musty) that would be expected with such an old home in a humid area. Having never been to Charleston, I think we were all surprised how old the home was (as now having been there, understand many such homes in this town are). Also good to note - the Charleston water tastes terrible. I was very thankful there was a filter pitcher in the fridge with water in it!

Perfect location and stay!
It was my husband and I's first trip to Charleston and we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay! It was within walking distance to the main street and many other spots on our list. The porch was a perfect hang to bring your to-go coffee and pastries (many options within a few blocks). Not to mention, it was a great spot for our dog! Would definitely stay again!

Great little spot
The only complaint was the neighboring residents (could have been renters?). Woke us up screaming and drunk peeing and rolling around in a puddle ???? by their car right outside our bedroom window. Otherwise it was perfect! Clean, spacious and well located for everything we needed. Short walk to C of C!

House was just as described and in a great central location. We had a rental car which you would need if want to explore the entire location. Beds were comfortable and house was very clean. It’s on a busy street with traffic but still nice neighborhood.

Wonderful Stay
Great location with lots of amenities inside the house. Check-in process was easy as well. The front bedroom does get a lot of street light at night, so if that bothers you, I would suggest sleeping in another room. Overall we had a lovely experience.

The property is very nostalgic. If anyone has balance problems or a walker this might not be for you. The floors are at different heights. Beds are very comfy. Tv selection is confusing. The landscaping needs work.(but we are landscapers). It is walking distance to a small store and some little restaurants. Also not far from King street. The bedrooms are very light they need some heavy curtains or darkening blinds. Thank you

We thought property a bit pricey with some strange woodwork repairs./replacement indicated (entry, stairs, window glazings, bath commode & kitchen drawers upgrades/repairs?) Fine beds, linens & appliances, pleasant neighborhood & eateries nearby.

Disappointed in Charleston
The pictures and write up were not accurate representations of the property; it was rundown and shabby: cheap, broken blinds and ancient cabinets; stained rug; peeling veneers and paint; no place for clothes storage in bedrooms and insufficient space for towels and toiletries in very small bathroom; bad lighting; and no comfortable place to eat. While the property manager was responsive and pleasant, and it was adequately clean, we were grossly disappointed and checked out the next day. Not worth the cost and I would not recommend it.
