Great!
Very cute place and loved how close we were to King Street. The breakfast sandwiches were amazing. The bagels alone were just fantastic. I loved that we had breakfast covered every morning and it was enjoyable. Only downside is our room didn’t come with towels but we were able to get towels pretty easily.

Even better than expected!
This was one of the best stays I've ever booked. The place was quiet and if I hadn't seen the other cars in the lot, I would have believed I had the entire place to myself. Would recommend and book again in a heartbeat! Check in was smooth and easy and I so appreciated the hot grab and go breakfast!

First Trip To Charleston
First time in Charleston and one of the best vacation experiences. Loved the accommodations at The Ashley. The owners have thought of almost every possible need. Will recommend this place to anyone asking for a great place to stay. Thanks for making this first time visit so memorable.

The location and the condition of this property is definitely a five star. We thoroughly enjoyed being there. Wish we could’ve enjoyed the outside fire pit. Tank was out of gas. Very nice to have bicycles. Do use while staying on the property as well. Would definitely stay here again.

You’re crazy not to stay here
Are you and your partner looking for a place to spend your weekend in Charleston? Are you trying to stay in walking distance of King St. and historic downtown? Are you trying not spend half your life savings on a hotel that costs $500 a night?? Then man oh man look no further. The Ashley is gorgeous, newly renovated, clean, and quiet. My fiance and I spent mothers day weekend there and loved the king size bed and walk in shower. We loved having almost no interaction with other guests. Hotel staff was super responsive and easy to get ahold of if we ever needed anything. AND they had breakfast waiting for us in the lobby area from a local bagel joint. Its a quick 10 minute walk to King St. and 30 minute walk to the battery. Lovely, beautiful, safe neighborhood. They have bikes to use for free too (although we didnt think charleston was the most bike friendly). Look. Charleston is beautiful but its stupid expensive. If you’re a budget-focused travel-happy couple like we are, you’d be dumb not to stay here.

Ashley review
We were given the wrong password to get into the building and had to call twice. Also the place is really noisy being on a corner lot - all night long all I could hear was the traffic. The house is really cool lots of history and great location. However, I would not consider staying again as I could not sleep very well. The bed Also need's to be upgraded. Charleston Rocks and will be coming back again very soon.

Nice Get Away
Ashley Inn was comfortable and supplied all the basics. It is a bit of a walk from the bust downtown but that is what we wanted...a good walk to and from our activities. We only used our rental car to drive out of town one time. We'd definitely go back! Thank you.

Comfortable but potentially haunted
The bed was comfortable (fold out bed okay comfortable for a fold out). Lots of stairs though that was advertised and expected. Common areas not as spotless clean as our room (stairway). Location was close to downtown and easy to locate. Would of liked to have had more coffee to accommodate the multiple day stay. According to tour guides all old houses in the area are haunted so suspect there could be ghosts.

Ashley Inn Charleston SC
The Inn was very nice, we just didn't realize the 3rd floor had such steep steps. Also, we didn't realize it was a bit of a walk to the Dock Street Theater 1.5 miles. It would be no problem for a younger person.

We really enjoyed our stay. The location was fairly central and it’s easy to walk to King Street, as well as grabbing an Uber or Lyft. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable! The check in and check out process was very smooth and easy. The staff was great and quick to respond to all questions and requests. Highly recommend!

Neat experience
The Inn was beautiful and staff was nice and responded quickly. The bed broke while we were there and it was being held together with duct tape. The cover to the air filter in the hallway was left open and it was completely black and the air at night smelled musty and like pee. Overall it was a neat experience for me and my daughter on our girls trip.

Just What We Needed
Easiest experience ever. Code to the room was very convenient, we didn’t have to interact with anyone while there because everything was set up before we got there. Communication was great. The porches were so relaxing after hitting the beach before heading to dinner, and we had several good options within walking distance. Adorable room, everything worked, overall awesome experience.

Pleasant stay
Although I am in Charleston the majority of the year, this little getaway was a much needed, pleasant experience. The room was charming and very comfortable. Only slight drawback was that the code for the front door wasn’t initially working but this was an easy fix after communicating with the property manager. Overall a wonderful experience!

A weekend in Charleston
Beautiful building. Very evocative. We had a room on the ground floor overlooking the verandah. Super comfortable and well equipped. Great, new bathroom. If you are a light sleeper, you might consider earplugs. Although it’s a residential area, the street has quite a lot of traffic (not throughout the night, so if you’re an early riser it won’t be a problem!). Host was very easy to reach, responsive and helpful. Definitely recommend this place.
