Cute and convenient
The Carriage House was comfy and welcoming. Being within walking distance of most everything was great! Be advised to bring food for breakfast if there more than 3 days. The host provided some lovely muffins, etc. but not enough for the length of our stay.

Anniversary in Charleston.
We traveled to Charleston for our 35 Wedding Anniversary. The bed and breakfast is in the perfect location. Close to everything. We never drive our car. Walked to all the shops restaurants and the pier. Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect Location!
The adorable house is on the most amazing location!!!! Close and within walking distance of everything! The house itself is so cute and decorated well! It's also stocked with anything you could need. The washer and dryer took some getting used to and could use updating, but they did work. In all, we loved it and look forward to coming back!

This little house has a great location! It is truly with-in walking distance of just about everything. Very comfortable and well equipped. Beautiful garden and neighborhood. Near by improvements in the neighborhood may disturb your morning sleep if you plan on sleeping in past 8:30 on weekdays.

Perfect place in perfect location
Our mother-daughter visit to Charleston was greatly enhanced by staying at this carriage house. The listing accurately reflects the property and the welcoming nature of the owners. We walked everywhere, including to the fabulous FIG restaurant just down the street. We enjoyed the delicious pastries and coffee in the morning and later playing cards at the table or watching TV in the evenings after dinner. We would welcome another opportunity to stay at 52 Hasell in the future.

Charming home in perfect location!
Thank you to both the owners and property manager, T'lene Brown, for accommodating my family of 4 during another wonderful stay in Charleston. This beautifully restored carriage house was perfect for us. A quick walk to EVERYTHING wonderful in Charleston..we especially loved strolling to the new hotel, The Bohemian, to grab coffee each morning as a treat (although the home does have a coffee maker and fully stocked kitchen). Thank you also to the owners for the special touches you lent during our stay, including, a warm welcome surprise upon arrival:) We will definitely return!

Great Location
We found this to be a charming accommodation located in historic Charleston--we were able to easily walk to many attractions/restaurants. If you want glitzy, stay in a hotel. This restored carriage house met our needs. Plumbing worked fine. Linens were fine. Owners were welcoming and provided breakfast items. Lots of antiques and personal touches. Beautiful little garden outside.

Perfect location, wonderful choice!
My husband and I visited Charleston for the first time, and feel we made a great choice in booking this carriage house. It had a very convenient location, free parking, you can walk to great restaurants, the City Market, and the grocery store is a block away. It had a well-stocked kitchen, a washer/dryer, and a lovely fireplace for the chilly evenings. The breakfast items were a nice touch. We met the owners, they couldn't have been friendlier and more helpful. It oozes Southern charm, and you really feel like you are "home". We'd love to return, and I've already recommended it to some friends visiting Charleston this summer. We'll always have fond memories of our first visit to that beautiful, unique city!

Perfect location
The entry into this apartment is beautiful, a garden that is well planted and tended. The apt has a light airy feel, the pics capture it well, although it was even more spacious than we expected. Our bed was very comfortable——the blue bedroom,; our friends stayed in the green bedroom and said that they rolled toward each other, so it was less comfortable. It was clean and very comfortable for sitting around the few times we did. The lamps need some tweaking because they wobble. There is a spotlight on at night that is very bright and disrupts the quiet mood of the garden if you would want to sit out there and enjoy the evening. But the location was perfect for us to walk everywhere easily. We would all recommend this to friends.

disappointed in this rental
We were disappointed in this rental. It was more much more dated than we expected it to be and the only bathroom shower drains so slowly while you are taking a shower that you are in standing water the whole time. There was no plunger and when we called the owner to tell them about the problem he said his son would come out the next day. No one came and no one followed up with us so we had to continue to take showers in standing water. For the price you pay you do expect good running facilities and updated linens and towels. This is not the case with this rental. Be aware. The bedding, towels and floor rug in the bathroom are extremely old. The carpeting on the upper floor is also very old and very stained. This rental is in need of some refreshing for the price they charge. There were also no coffee filters so we had to go purchase those to make coffee in the morning. We would not select this rental again on future vacations in Charleston.
