Beautiful and charming hotel but unfortunately our room’s balcony/porch was under construction and was off limits for enjoying. Construction workers listening to music right outside our door was less than ideal. The manager Marc was nice but gave us creepy vibes and was just always in our space. Was hoping for more anonymity and privacy. Rest of staff was really great. Also, when I originally called to inquire about rates he said it was “impossible” to find a lower rate. I then went on Expedia and got same room for substantially cheaper.

It was the best stay experience we had: from the intimate and well maintained hotel room to the service and friendliness of the staff. The manager Marc has been exceptional in both being knowledgeable of everything Charleston that we want to try and bring thoughtful of recommendations based on your preference and the length of the stay. Consummate Charleston
The zero George is a wonderful hotel. The historical architecture is beautiful, the surface is fantastic, and the tasting menu we had was phenomenal. The downside of our stay was that the room is on a main road and was very noisy at night. I wish they would’ve told us that so we could expect it in advance. Also, the breakfast is not great for the standard of all other aspects of the hotel. Overall, I would highly recommend the hotel. Will be back.
