We were very disappointed in our stay at the hotel. The hotel was under construction, although the noise we heard all night was from cars drag racing on the street. During the night a light fell from the ceiling in our room. Also, our refrigerator did not work.

We arrived at the Charlotte Courtyard by Marriott for a Carolina Panthers football game. The front desk staff was extremely helpful, as we do not know our way around Charlotte. Stephanie and Kesha’s were especially helpful in walking directions and hotel particulars. Although the breakfast price was not included in the room price, the Bistro service was excellent and worth the $25 price. 2 eggs overnight, 3 pieces bacon, fruit/potatoes and toast. Especially Miss Stephanie and Teresa in the Bistro.

Experience was subpar at best. TRUCK OWNERS BEWARE! If you have a truck and plan to park at the garage attached to the hotel (which they do not own and have no surveillance or security in) YOUR TRUCK WILL BE BROKEN INTO! Trucks are targeted for firearms and tools per Charlotte PD. Hotel denies liability and you will be on your own.

The hotel appears nice from outside and has a beautiful lobby, however, inside the room has an odor almost like there’s dampness and the bed was awful. The pillows were flat and the mattress was very, very hard and uncomfortable. The price I paid for convenience certainly wasn’t worth the accommodations. I’m very disappointed.

The front desk staff were awesome. Very kind and helpful. The hotel and rooms were outdated and underwhelming for the price. I wouldn’t stay again. I’d go to the other Marriott downtown and pay a little more. I don’t plan on another stay here but cheers to the awesome staff!

Overall, I’m very happy with our choice to stay here. It seemed to be in the heart of everything. Anywhere we wanted to go was within a couple of blocks of the hotel. We did not feel unsafe at any point. Only thing that we weren’t a fan of is that they do cleaning every 2-3 days. We weren’t sure which because an email says 2 days, then a sign says 3 and then we had the cleaning done on day 2 but on day 3 while in our room they also tried to come and didn’t announce they were housekeeping, just tapped and started to come in. The only us good thing, the room was extremely humid even though we kept the AC on the whole time and our clothes were getting moist, and the last night we were here our allergies started to be messed up while in the room.
