Enjoy a slice of the country life in our rustic 2 BR, 1.5 bath cottage nestled along the Blue Ridge in Madison County. Great for a family or friends. Minutes to scenic hikes at White Oak and Old Rag in Shenandoah National Park, plus wineries, breweries and festivals at Graves' Mountain Lodge. Steps away from the trout fishing and swimming holes of the peaceful Robinson River, plus Possum's Store across the street. Convenient to Charlottesville, Culpeper, Monticello, Luray Caverns, Camp Varsity.

Had a fun weekend stay with a trip to Shenandoah National Park for a hike and blackberry ice cream pie, visited a ciders in Sperryville, and enjoyed the Possom Store and Art Print shopping near the listing. Would love to come back when the weather is warmer and float or swim in the river. Farm fresh eggs left by super responsive host were great!

We spent a weekend hiking in Shenandoah NP. This was a perfect location to access the park. The house was clean and comfortable with all amenities included. The hosts were very sweet to leave fresh chicken eggs on our arrival and were very helpful to assist in anything we needed. Would definitely stay again!

Two "older ladies"
Main concerns for older visitors, the bathtub has no grab bars. My friend who is almost 80, fell while trying to get into the tub. She stepped in with one leg and she slipped, didn't have anything to grab onto and fell backwards out of the tub and hit the vanity. We went to the ER and thankfully nothing was broken but her back is very painful. This happened on our last full day there. The other recommendation is to put some plywood under the mattress on the bottom bunk bed for some support. We really did enjoy the area, so much beautiful nature.

Wonderful Shenandoah trip!
We loved staying in this adorable cottage for a mini Shenandoah National Park vacation. The location was perfect as it was close to lots of great hiking. The cottage was a perfect place to relax after hiking all day and had everything we needed. We loved the back deck, the grill, and the fire pit. The Robinson River was close by and my husband and son enjoyed swimming in it. Thanks for a perfect trip!

Sweet river cottage in the mountains
The cottage was homie and roomy. It had everything we needed and our hosts were great. We had fresh eggs upon arrival and when our dryer wasn’t working as it should, they took our laundry, dried it for us and brought it back folded and fresh!!! The WiFi wasn’t reliable but that is likely due to the mountains and not the owners-just mountain life:). We LOVED the river next to the property; it is swimmable and refreshing. I highly recommend this property and will stay there again in the future!!!

This place was perfect!
This was the cutest, perfect place! It's got everything you need, perfect location, history and sure didn't hurt that the owners did a great job communicating too. Fresh eggs on arrival and super clean. The little store across the street was so neat and that owner has some great knowledge on the area and history. She also taught us about the place we were staying in, which has its own history, while allowing us to check out the store when it wasn't even supposed to be open yet. Beautiful terrain all around, wineries close by, quaint little towns not too far, then a great, comfy spot to come back to. Thank you for letting us into your home for a weekend.... we'll be back!
