The staff were very helpful and efficient. The bedrooms large however the bathrooms very run down broken panel on the bath awful stains on the tiles and rust on the towels heating

I enjoyed my stay as per usual and the spa facilities available are a treat at the end of the day. The hotel has a lovely feel to it and the staff are friendly and professional. The food is also bet good in the restaurant.

Nice place but wish we knew there was going to be a wedding band blasting towards our room until midnight. Knowing we had a baby it would have been nice to warn us of the noise or offer a room away from the music.

The restaurant staff are wonderful, tbh I'm reluctant to share how wonderful this place is would like to keep it secret. A family were v annoying with a tennis ball and needed to be stopped only down side. Cocktails are excellent.

Call ahead for the spa/pool, check the rules
Very good hotel, but would caution if going with children if you want to use the pool. There are very strict restrictions of when and how the pool can be used, but the small print is only shared once you arrive at the hotel. We booked and paid full price for my stepson to stay in a separate room only for him to be turned away from the swimming poo. It turned out that supervised 15-year olds are only allowed in the pool during a 2.5 hour period during the day, and that was only pointed out to us in the small print as he was turned away from the pool. Hotel management told us rules are rules and as the spa/pool is not part of the hotel, they can’t do anything. We would have gone somewhere else as we wanted a hotel with a pool in Essex (being in Chelmsford was not essential for us). Separately, breakfast food is good, but the service experience varies. First morning we had lovely service, but the second day we had a very rude server.
