Serious Safety and Sanitation Concerns at Hotel Property At 2:09 AM, I encountered a homeless individual inside the hotel, further heightening my distress during an already challenging emergency. By 7:00 AM, the individual was still sleeping on the hotel couch near the elevator, raising serious safety and sanitation concerns. While we believe in helping those in need, it is the hotel’s responsibility to maintain a secure and sanitary environment for all guests. This lack of proper oversight compromised guest safety, added unnecessary stress, and resulted in further disruptions to my travel and work commitments.

Overall Rating: Terrible My stay at Comfort Inn Sylva - Cullowhee was deeply unsettling due to serious security concerns. Around 2:00 AM, I encountered a homeless man right next to the elevator. The situation left me feeling extremely frightened and unsafe, as there was no hotel staff in sight to address it. Shockingly, when I passed by the same area around 7:00 AM on my way to breakfast, the same individual was still there, sleeping in the guest resting area by the elevator. This is a major security lapse. Guests should never have to feel violated or unsafe in a hotel, especially when paying for a secure and comfortable stay. The absence of front desk staff during these critical hours only heightened my concern. I strongly urge hotel management to take immediate action to ensure guest safety, including increased security measures and staff availability at all times. Until then, I cannot recommend this property.

Subject: Complaint Regarding Cleanliness at Comfort Inn, Sylva, NC Dear Expedia Customer Support, I am writing to bring to your attention a serious cleanliness issue I encountered during my recent stay at the Comfort Inn in Sylva, NC. Among the stack of towels provided in my room, I discovered a wet and dirty towel disguised between what appeared to be clean ones. This raised concerns about the hotel’s housekeeping standards and overall hygiene practices. This experience was disappointing and unacceptable, especially given the expectations set by the Comfort Inn brand. I kindly request your assistance in addressing this matter with the hotel and providing a resolution, such as a partial refund or other appropriate compensation.
