Cast your fishing line into one of its seven ponds or go bird watching in its numerous wetlands. Six trailheads give you a variety of hiking, mountain biking and snowmobiling options.
Enjoy views for miles at Wantastiquet Mountain State Forest. Hike to the mountain’s summit or nearby Miner’s Ledge for spectacular vistas across the Connecticut River Valley and Vermont’s mountains.
See the historic Asbury United Methodist Church, one of Chesterfield’s most iconic structures. Since it was built in 1844, this white wooden church has served as a spiritual center for the town.
With just over 3,500 permanent residents, Chesterfield isn’t a large metropolis. However, it has a smattering of dining, shopping and accommodations options. Concord, New Hampshire’s capital, is about 60 miles (100 kilometers) away. Find Chesterfield between Keene, New Hampshire, and Brattleboro, Vermont. Each of these bustling towns is about a 15-minute drive away.
