CASA BLANCA CARIBE

Environmentally friendly villa beachfront to the Caribbean ocean.
2 bedroom plus loft with queen/twin bunk bed. Sleeps: 6
Charming modern concrete home nestled into the palms with tile floors, granite counters, and deep mahogany woodwork. Master, living, and modern kitchen open to the Carribean with large sliding doors to the large deck, plus screened porch for night time enjoyment. 2nd bedroom view is beautiful coconut palms. Loft sleeping room is open to the roof deck and its sweeping views of the ocean and jungle. Two in-home bathrooms are stylish w/ over sized showers. There is a beach bathroom and outdoor shower also.

Casa Blanca Caribe was designed as a stilt home to provide amazing views and cooling breezes year round. The lot is deep and full of huge coconut palms, so there is no noise from the beach road, only the sounds of the surf, breeze, and birds on Sapphire Beach. The sea in front of the home is a gradual drop to the reef system. Free of turtle grass, the sandy bottom and waves are perfect for playing in the water

The property has a beautiful beach with only a few beach combers passing by each day.. You'll have the beachfront and the reef nearly to yourself. Casa Blanca Caribe is located on Sapphire Beach - arguably one of the most beautiful beaches on the Costa Maya with wide sandy beaches. Walk for miles or visit the tidal pools and discover all the shells.

Tired of diving, snorkeling, or fishing? Within an easy and safe couple of hours of driving, visit numerous Mayan archeological sites scattered throughout the countryside, the famous Bacalar Lagoon, Cenote Azul, and Spanish fort. Drive to the Belize border, or visit the museums in Chetumal, or hire a small boat to take you on sea cruise thru the reefs from Xcalak to Chetumal Bay’s Bird Island. Drive north to take a guided tour into the Sian Ka'an Biosphere, or visit the bustling area of Tulum. Or just drive 20 minutes into our quaint town of Mahahual for relaxing fun and food.

Peaceful Time Away
Great family time with no distractions. Owner's communication was great. We had one issue that was resolved with 24 hours of sending the owner an email. Luis, the caretaker, and his wife were wonderful. They were really helpful, and we enjoyed meeting them and their son. Perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle, but very reliable Wi-Fi to stay in touch as desired.

Slice of heaven
This place is so perfect, it was the hardest vacation house we’ve ever had to leave Didn’t realize how far out of town it was, but the isolated beach made it worth the drive Sad how much garbage there is in the world. There’s no hiding it on the coast of Casa Blanca.. that said, the beach in front of the house is cleaned daily !! The house has all the amenities covered and then some! The care takers are the sweetest family! They made us feel so welcomed 5stars all around Thank you Casa Blanca Caribe, for hosting our most memorable Christmas house

Peaceful Getaway
This property is the perfect place if you are looking for a peaceful spot in paradise. My husband and I were able to relax and unwind away from it all. Beds we’re comfortable and it would be great for a group as well. So many comfortable options to hang out in hammocks or lounge chairs. The house has everything you need to make any food you want (bring own groceries and spices) and is close enough to restaurants if you want to go out. The town has a quiet feel without feeling touristy. We did day trips to Bacalar twice and saw the ruins. We felt like we were in paradise even tho we had rain for a couple of days but it just made everything feel fresh. The colour of the ocean and sand is beautiful. We will definitely be back!

Amazing place and a quite spot
This was just what the family needed. James was great. His communication was timely and he went out of his way to get us connected to the right people for an amazing vacation. Brayan, the care taker, was great as well. He only spoke Spanish but we’re able to make it through with the little we knew. We chose this place because of the activities for our four boys. They really loved the kayaks and riding the waves. Just south off the house, about a 15 minute walk, is a great snorkeling spot. James did have snorkeling equipment, but I’d recommend your own. At least the ones we used the masked kept leaking. We loved it so much, we’re looking to go back. The wife even wanted to see about buying property there. If you do go to this place, make sure you have transportation. It’s in the middle of no where.

Excellent Home, 20 minutes north of Mahahual
We've stayed in many places in and around Mahahual. We would put this house near the top of the list. The house has new owners who just purchased this house a year ago. The house is very nice, to begin with, but they are also making numerous upgrades and investing in the property. While this house is a little more expensive than others, it is worth it. It is well designed for hanging out and could easily host two families, has six hammocks, nice palapas on the beach and roof, an extra shower and bathroom at the beach, and a nice living room and deck. This is also in a great location. There are great places to swim and fish within a minutes walk and the beach out front of the house is fantastic. It is about a twenty-minute drive from town. Do not take the road along the beach. Take the main road and turn toward Placer and then head a few kilometers south to the house. I think the listing says that it has airconditioning -- it does not yet. Although I think the owners are working on that. That really isn't an issue unless you are there over the summer. Highly recommended.

Great get away in a special location !
We had a wonderful time at Casa Blanca Caribe. Rick was responsive and helpful in answering our questions before our trip and went out of his way to make sure we had a great time. The house itself is beautiful and is located on a stretch of hard white sand beach. Although the house is "off the grid" you'd never know it. The solar power never failed us, there was ample bottle water for drinking and the WiFi worked great. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen is well appointed and the common areas are comfortable - including a great deck that's perfect to watch the sun come up with a cup of coffee in the morning and the cruise ships sail off into the distance in the evening with a cold beer. The coral reef is within swimming distance from shore and offers good snorkeling. We took a day trip to the ruins at Kohunlich near the Belize border and stopped in Bacalar for on the way back. All in all, a great experience for our family

Beautiful home. Perfect place to unwind and just relax.
We spent 6 very enjoyable nights. Visited Mahahual twice (best to go late afternoon when the cruise ships are in) and ate dinner each night at the Mayan Beach Garden Inn. Wonderful food and great conversation with the guests.

Wonderful, Remote Modern Beach House
Such a wonderful home in Mahahual! This quiet, beautiful beach house just north of Mahahual town is exactly what the two of us needed: A relaxing place to disconnect, get some sunshine, snorkel, and relax. The solar power system is impressive! We never needed the use of the generator, and always had hot water. The owners and property manager really out did themselves, answering our questions, and assisting us prior to and during our stay. We loved the remoteness of this home, though felt secure having the property manager just a kilometer down the beach. The house had all the basic supplies we needed, and was extremely spacious for just the two of us. Pro tip: do all the shopping you think you'll need in Tulum, before you head in. Basic groceries and sundries are available in Mahahual, but we were always eager to return to our slice of paradise after a trip to "the city." Also, have a few meals down the road at Mayan Beach Garden. The meals are wonderful, and a great place to meet other travelers.

Great Stay on the Maya Riviera
We recent had an excellent stay at "Casa Blanca" on Mexico's East coast in Quitana Roo just north of the small, (but growing) town of Mahahual - about 120 miles north of Belize. The owners, Rick & Jeri Scott were quick to respond to questions and have a detailed list of things too do in area that was very valuable. The water was clear, the beaches are white sand, the reef is 700-800 feet from shore and the house is elevated on stilts which allows the trade winds to keep the main living area on the 2nd floor cool. There are 2 Sea Kyacks, which our 2 teenager, (15 & 17) used daily and the downstairs bathroom & shower were super convenient. The property is locally managed Marcia at the Mayan Beach Garden Inn a few kilometers south of the house. She is more than accommodating and made sure everything was as advertised, great food for your first night if arriving from Cancun and you haven't gone into Mahahual for supplies yet, (let her know you'll be eating there when pick-up the keys). Mahahual has a cruise ship port and can become pretty crowded for the few hours that passengers are allowed to disembark. Prices are through the roof during theses times, so always ask for the Spanish or non-tourist menu's at the restaurants. Do this even if the cruise ships aren't in port - you'll save between 40% to 50% on your meals and drinks. Also, wait to buy any trinkets or souvenirs until the last of crews ships have departed, again you'll save a lot of $$ and don't forget to negotiate! The nightly price for Casa Blanca is very reasonable considering the location, amenities and the house itself. Simply put, "It's a good deal". Thanks Rick & Jeri for the relaxed fun Va-Ca! Lovely house in a great location!
The house was better than anticipated and perfect for our family. The owners were good about checking in with us before our trip to make sure we had everything we needed and answering any questions we had. Also, the rental manager, who operates the Mayan Beach Garden Hotel just down the road, was extremely helpful and gave good suggestions for fun activities and sights to see. The house is on a lovely beach in a quiet area with snorkeling and fishing close by. We enjoyed a delicious Christmas eve dinner at the Mayan Beach Garden Hotel as well as paddle boarding there. I would recommend this property to friend and relatives.

Paradise found
We really enjoyed our holidays in this gem to the fullest. The house is very well maintained, very clean, very modern and offered enough space for our group of 5. Everything was working fine and the house is built directly at a wonderful beach. We enjoyed snorkelling and bathing in the warm and clear waters of the Carribean Sea every day. We visited Mahahual and Bacalar for day trips but always returned happily to this vacation home. There is a caretaker living in a small house of the property who also offered his help. He brought us some fresh food from Mahahual and his wife cooked a wonderful welcome dinner. He also took care of the garden and cleaned the beach daily. All in all we really fell in love with this wonderful place and we will surely come back one day. Thank you for letting us stay in this home away from home.
