Shack 14 is an architect designed eco retreat on 10 acres of peaceful bush setting in the Central Victorian goldfields town of Chewton. The Architect, Ken Latona, has created an open, tent like dwelling that helps guests to connect with themselves, nature and each other. Perfect for couples, close friends or families. Hotel bed linen and Asparbody products provided. Close to the Goldfields Track. Not suitable for pets due to the bushland setting.
STANDARD RATES
Mon - Thursday (excl public holidays) $250 per night (two night minimum)
Fri - Sun (ex public holiday) $275 per night (two night minimum)
SEASONAL RATES
Holiday surcharge of 10% and three night minimum applies for all long weekends and 4 night minimum for Christmas and Easter holidays
Plus Cleaning fee of $105
Shack 14 is located in beautiful bushland setting but only minutes from the townships of Chewton and Castlemaine.
Flop House Accommodation will be available to answer queries and deal with any emergency during your stay.
Chewton is located in the Central Victorian Goldfields and near to the Goldfields Walking Track that runs from Ballarat to Bendigo via Daylesford and Castlemaine. The Red Hill Hotel is a lovely old pub and Castlemaine hosts a variety of tourist attractions including the Mill, a collection of businesses housed in a former Woollen Mills.
There is a train from Melbourne to Castlemaine (Bendigo V-Line) and a taxi service in Castlemaine. The distance from Castlemaine to Chewton is approximately 6.5ks.
