"Pretty good all round - clean, nicely appointed and comfortable but with one major flaw. The boiler works away all night and with a late night and then an early rise the next day was a little disappointing and made sleeping soundly very difficult. 9/10 with the exception of the boiler noise "

The property was exactly as advertised, in a great location and was spotless. Also, having tea and coffee at the property is only a small touch but has a great impact and shows Manu cares for guests. "The security was very rude and intimidatory. They Would not allow me into the property without my key card. I explained that my friend has the key card and went back to the room early. I was the lead guest in the booking. I had email confirmation, my ID and the card I used to pay. Hotel security still refused me entry. I had to call the reception desk to get approval access. This was 4am. Prior to this rude hiccup I enjoyed my stay. After this incident it put a dampen on the rest of the trip."

"A great one night stay. We were given a free upgrade. Room and bathroom very nice. Upgraded room wasn't in 'the prison' though so lacked the charm of the older part of the hotel. Staff very pleasant. A bit of an issue with breakfast: everyone's food took a long time to arrive. Restaurant manager refunded everyone's breakfast bill without having to be asked. "
