A nice clean hotel, beautifully decorated room with plenty of electrical outlets, soft lighting options. We really enjoyed our stay at Muse. The location is super convenient as it is 2 minutes away from the bus station and a big supermarket. The staff was friendly and professionnal. We’d come back, if in Christchurch again.

Nice place to stay, it used to be nice though. Over the last few years it has become increasingly more broken feeling with unpainted areas in the room corners, broken curtain rails, cement dust piles, broken runner for the bathroom door, things like that. There was also no included parking option in December 2024 despite the website and Expedia saying there was. Its a good enough place though, walking distance to pretty much everything in the CBD, small fridge in the room, and comfy bed, but overpriced, because of the things above, despite the attraction of the art in the hallways.

Property, room and location were great. The loud music until 1am was not. The whole room was shaking and I wasn’t unable to sleep. I think this is Fridays and Saturdays nights only

The room was comfortable and well appointed, the ongoing construction right beside the hotel was a significat distraction, it affected the view from our window. On the positive note, location is excellent with easy access to the nearby malls. If the construction is not a concern this hotel is a good option.

I booked a twin room and was given a king, it was late and we were tired so it wasn't worth going back down to see if we could move rooms so we made it work. The room was well appointed and clean. We were directly under the bar/restaurant and it was quiet in our room which was a blessing, though the construction next door started up about 0630.

All the staff are brilliant, friendly and courteous. We were disappointed with the room, for a premium king, the room was small with very little storage for two people's clothes. Whilst the room was clean, it appeared 'tired' and needed some TLC. We had to request bathrobes and ask them to hang part of the curtain that was hanging off. Great location and fabulous staff.

Great location with an amazing rooftop bar. Comfortable bed, plush furniture, surprisingly quiet, felt the reception staff could have been more helpful and friendly, parking price reasonable, loved the art deco and NY vibe. Celebrated hubby's birthday which I advised in advance but hotel didn't make any efforts like other hotels have in the past, small touches would bring the hotel to the next level. Would be nice to gain prefered access to The Pink Lady. We loved our stay though and would stay again.

The staff were very friendly. The room was clean and looked just as advertised in the pictures. The thermostat worked fine, so room temperature regulation wasn't an issue. Also, I didn't hear any construction noises, like some of the reviews mentioned. Overall, a very good experience! The only area of improvement for the hotel is the water pressure and temperature. It was fine for me, but my partner prefers it a bit hotter. We were looking forward to using the rain shower, but due to the lack of water pressure and temperature, it was quite an underwhelming experience. With that said, I'll happily book a room in the Muse Hotel again.
