Nice House - Good location

The house was very nice in a good and quiet neighborhood - Close to Newport and downtown Cincinnati. The house fit our needs - it was clean and comfortable and was well stocked. Thank you Jody and thank you Linda for a great vacation. We enjoyed our stay very much. Rose S.

Nice, clean and convenient to Cincinnati

Stayed with 5 others in order to do activities in Cincinnati and northern Kentucky (Reds game, Newport Aquarium, Ark Encounter and Creation Museum). House is very nice inside and looks recently renovated. It was clean and stocked with everything you need. The owner was very friendly and prompt in responding to texts. She does a great job with this property!

House was comfortable and owner was very accommodating. Nice amenities. One very nice bathroom and a small half-bath. Bedroom doors need adjusted so that you don't have to slam to close them.

Perfect for us, spotless and clean!

We spent a weekend at this property and it was exactly what we were looking for. There was a slight issue with the lock box upon check in, but Jody resolved it immediately. The house has a great layout. Bedrooms on opposite ends allowed for more privacy. The fridge was stocked with ice cold water and sodas. That along with the snacks were a welcome touch.

Neat and Comfortable Place to Stay with Gracious Hosts!

This was a perfect "base of operations" for our pal's bachelor party in Cincinnati, without the expense of being on the Ohio side and only an $8 Lyft to downtown. Comfortably slept 8 on four beds and two pull-outs. Had a full kitchen which was stocked with snacks and soft drinks. Might have been a little tight if we planned a longer stay, but was ideal for the night. Jody was very gracious and accommodating, letting us check in early and check out late.

Getting Better Each Stay

This is the second trip to this house in Bellevue. They have improved it since the first. The second 1/2 bath was much appreciated, the new flooring looks great too. We love this place and the neighborhood. Close enough to everything, but far enough away to wind down, and relax too. Brought our own grill and cooked out one night and that was a blast. Also, you can see a great deal of the Riverfest Fireworks from the sidewalk in front if you are there over Labor Day. You can't see them all, but you also aren't fighting several thousand people! I am sure we will be back!

AMAZING Find!

We travel a lot and stay at VRBOs all over the country. This is in my top 3 (if not my top 1) that we've stayed at. The location is excellent if you want walkable access to Newport on the Levee, either of the stadiums across the Purple People bridge or easy driving distance to Ft. Thomas or Cinci proper. This is a really cute old house (1910--we looked it up) that have been rehabbed incredibly well. The lighting was incredible (for people who can't see well as they age, this was a gift!!). The beds were comfortable and the water pressure was excellent. The best part--checking in late at night and finding soda and water in the fridge, snack food in the cabinets and coffee for the morning. Seriously--this was the best touch, so appreciated. Off street parking and a fenced yard were bonuses. A very attentive owner (responded instantly to a question that if we had been a little more diligent we wouldn't have even had to ask). Washer/dryer made running a quick load possible. Toiletries in the bathroom if you forgot anything...I can't say enough about this one. We come back to the area often and my husband said to be sure I save this one, it was the best we've had and the location is excellent.

Jody was quick to respond to our questions and text messages. The house was quaint and great for a small group. Amenities were perfect and met our needs. The property details all described SLEEPS 8. This is NOT true. 1 king bed, 1 queen bed and 1 twin bed. There were NO pull out sofas as described on Travelocity or VRPO. Had we had 8 adults we would have not been able to stay at this property. With 5 adults it was inconvenient. We had to bring the twin bed from an outside storage shed. There was a parking area right beside the house and didn’t need to park on the street which was a great feature. Overall was a great experience with exception of sleeping quarters.

Bigly Disappointed

The first thing we noticed walking in was the sickening sweet perfume smell...an indication something was being covered up. We looked up and a quarter inch of dust covered the fan blades and looking down, the baseboards had not been cleaned in years. The microwave had splattered food in it and the garbage disposal smelled of something dead. The kitchen faucet was broken with a sign asking to "be gentle". The dryer lint filter appeared to have never been cleaned and there were wet clothes in the washer. The bathroom rugs were matted and dirty and the exhaust fans were covered with dust. Before unpacking the car, I had to clean a gooey pastry covered in ants from the patio and then hose it down to avoid our dog eating it. The backyard was hazardous with stacked aluminum siding, concrete pavers and tall grass. There are new and old pictures on the site and some do not match the actual layout. These are some of the major things but there are lots of minor things we could talk about. Not worth the money! Will not rent this property again and will not trust Vrbo on future rentals.

Pictures misleading for sleeping arrangements

The location was good and the rest of the accommodations were satisfactory. It was within walking distance to some restaurants and bars as well as a grocery store nearby. However, based on the description and photos, when we booked the property we thought there would be enough comfortable sleeping for four adults to each have our own bed. The photos are not accurate to the property when we arrived. There was a king and queen bed and a twin bed on the floor. There were not 2 sofas that transformed into beds as the description gave. It was an L shaped couch but it wasn't a sleeper sofa. I contacted the owner a few days prior and received a response quickly. However, the day of our arrival, I called and texted in the morning to request instructions on how to get into the property. I didn't receive a response. I tried to make contacts again about two hours prior to arrival, no response. I ended up having to call VRBO to get assistance. In addition, I texted the contact for check out instructions since there weren't any at the property, no response. I texted the contact later in the day after we left to let them know what we did (run dishwasher, dirty towels in tub, removed sheets from beds). She responded later that day or the next and explained she had been out of town. I'm not sure how that would prevent someone from responding to a text.

Quaint and Comfortable

We were visiting our daughter and basically only used the house for sleeping. Jody, the owner, was a very delightful hostess. She was very accommodating. The cottage was quaint and comfortable and if we had had more time, it was a great area to explore .

Spring Break Getaway

Cute, cute property and convenient to Newport, Cincinnati, and downtown Bellevue. Jody’s communication was great! She even recommended a street taco food truck in Dayton which was excellent. The kitchen would have had everything we needed but we didn’t use it and decided to try out all the local restaurants. Although the house was close to others, we had complete privacy. Our 6 pound rescue Chiweenie sure enjoyed the fenced in back yard. We hope to stay at this location again when visiting the area.

The rental property suited our needs very well. Bedrooms were large enough and we had plenty of room. The fenced in gate worked well for our puppies. They had a washer and dryer you could use if you stayed long enough. Everything in the kitchen, baths worked well. We were very satisfied with the experience! Thank you!!

Definitely would stay again.

This property was perfect for us. We had plenty of room for the dogs and us on our trip. The neighborhood was quiet. The walk to downtown Bellevue was five minutes.
