"Beautiful location although sound of traffic on dual carriageway dampens tranquility. Hotel was lovely. House keeping was poor. Only one towel provided for two people?!?! They also took our key from power slot. Food options on site are basic. "

"A lovely quirky hotel and so pretty. We loved our room it was comfortable and had everything we needed. We particularly liked the shoe and coat storage. Everything was spotlessly clean. Our only downside and why it doesn’t get 5 stars is because of the sheer volume of dogs staying there, it felt more like a doggy hotel. One night 2 of them were barking late at night and another morning the dog below us howled for an hour non stop. We also saw a waitress stroking dogs, letting them lick her...

"I stayed in one of the four rooms at the back of the pub. Nice rural location with plenty of parking. Room was clean and comfortable, but the best aspect of the stay was the friendly staff and excellent food. Portions good, and the pub has a great atmosphere. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order and good quality. Would definitely stay again"

Staff has a tough job keeping the street traffic out of their private, residence only garden and it was a bit hard to enjoy a quiet afternoon with so many day-visiting tourists walking around us. Otherwise, the food and hospitality is top-notch and everyone’s very friendly. "
