If a secluded, off-grid adventure is what you are after, these three Lost Pools Bungalows will be just the place to get away from it all and have this tropical wonderland to yourself! Enjoy Your Own Exclusive compound on 160 acres, there will be no delay in embarking on memorable treks and scenic walks each day, as the property features a plethora of natural pools, waterfalls, and dense foliage that will keep everyone busy. Lost Pools is a mini eco compound, so guests will need to be conscious of power usage during their stay. This being said, there is free WiFi to stay connected and modern comforts including stylish interiors complete with kitchenettes and updated bathrooms. When days heat up, head down to the private pool and take a dip or simply follow the river and hop into one of the many deep pools along the trail. Not to mention, the lanai, bar area, and gas grill will come in handy for whipping up tasty meals as the sun goes down!

We have miles of hiking trails, fruit trees, coffee plants, natural swimming pools, wild animal/bird viewing, and a man-made fresh water pool (for the little less adventurous).

Live in the jungle powered by the sun! We are completely off the grid...we have our own water system and we produce our own electricity.

This is not your 'normal' vacation spot, you need a 4wd vehicle and plan to arrive during daylight hours.

Lost Pools is only a few miles from Ojochal, a Costa Rican international culinary destination. We are very close to numerous (20 minutes), beautiful beaches and they are never crowded. This is where the jungle meets the beach. This is a great location to start your Southern Costa Rican adventure vacation.

Lost Pools Adventure
If you are looking for a place to stay to get away from it all, this is the place. It is absolutely amazing!! The drive up the road to Lost Pools is an adventure in itself. And when you arrive at the bungalows you are in a serene place in the jungle. We didn’t want to leave after 12 day. Numerous hikes right from you doorstep and wildlife viewing while you sip on an adult beverage by the swimming pool. Loved every minute of our stay.

Two nights in the rainforest
Three couples, including my wife and I, spent two nights at Lost Pools, at the end of July, 2022. It was great. You're totally up in the mountains, off the grid, yet they have electricity from solar and hydro, and wifi. They have beautiful waterfalls, trails and creeks to hike. They have a super cool pool and open air clubhouse to cook, eat and hang out for drinks and conversation, with a hummingbird feeder such that the birds are just a few feet from your table. The pool is really cute, fed by the natural spring water from up the mountain. You can lean over the edge of the pool and look down the mountain, into the jungle. The sound of water flowing down the creeks and falls is constant and very relaxing. If you are adventurous and love nature, especially the rainforest, this is your kind of place. It is not for the faint of heart because you have to travel narrow, dirt roads way up the mountain. Eric led us up and back down. He was a great host!
