Olympic Peninsula Homebase
The home was a perfect slice of the Olympic Peninsula. Our multi-generational group enjoyed the water views, comfy beds and location to Olympic National Park. We say sea lions fishing, bald eagles soaring and tidal creatures!

Wonderful stay!
We absolutely loved our stay at this house! The location is perfect for walks on the beach, tide pools, fishing in the river, sunsets, and just general relaxation sitting on the patio overlooking the water. We thought the location was great to explore the rainforests, beaches, and lakes of Olympic National Park. The owners are wonderful and very helpful with any questions prior to and during the trip. They even offered fishing advice to my son who brought his pole to fish in the river and bay.

Great place with amazing view!
Haley & Peter's place is just amazing and was so great for our kids! They spent hours exploring the tide pools or simply enjoying them in and around the house... which ultimately allowed the parents to enjoy their time as well :-) The view - even from the kitchen is fantastic. Thank you, Haley & Peter for letting us stay and your great & fast communication

Nature getaway
The place was great (very comfy beds; we used the kitchen heavily, and it was up to the task), but I want to rave about the experience. We watched harlequin ducks feeding in the surf just a short distance away. Out a bit further, buffleheads, goldeneyes, and loons. On a walk along the beach in the state park, common mergansers. I definitely recommend taking binoculars for the diving ducks and other waterfowl. The rocky intertidal there was spectacular -- a number of firsts for me, including the giant pacific chiton and a nudibranch. We lit a fire one night and enjoyed the sound of the waves. It was a great getaway.

Thanksgiving stay
We stayed at this property over the Thanksgiving weekend. We loved everything about it. The location was excellent, with a lot of hikes around. Every day we had a couple hrs without rain, we took advantage of the surroundings. The owners were very responsive and even left out wood for us to use in the fire pit. We didn’t end up using it, but appreciated their willingness to provide for us. The house was well provisioned, we had a lot of the basics and even more. The only reason I am giving four stars for the cleanliness was that we were looking for items the kids dropped under the beds in the bunk room, and it seemed that it had not been vacuumed in a long time. Same for the rugs. Other than that everything was very nice and would return here without question. Thank you for the hospitality.

Great getaway - beautiful home
This place was exactly what we expected and more. The house interior is updated, fresh, and airy and cozy at the same time. Big picturesque windows with views of the beautiful bay and a great gas fireplace to warm you up as you look at the view. Our family ate some great meals cooked in the well stocked kitchen, played many boardgames, went on hikes and beach walks, and had a fantastic time!

Terrific location
The location is terrific, both from being right on the water, as well as being convenient for reaching other spots on the Olympic Peninsula. The listing is accurate. The house is comfortable. The kitchen is particularly well-appointed. The manager responded promptly to all questions.

Awesome Rantal!
We stayed here for a few days in August. The pictures of the house are accurate- it's beautiful, spacious, and well-appointed. The house is right on the beach, and there are wonderful windows to enjoy and hear the view and sea breezes. The beach is rocky, which means there are some awesome tide pools a short walk from the house. The house has several amenities...you can tell the home owners have thoughtfully furnished this house. Plenty of comfy indoor and outdoor seating areas, stocked fire pit, grill, good wifi, kitchen is well stocked with equipment, dishes, extra ice maker...just everything you would need is there. Check-in and out was easy and well communicated. The town is small (which we liked), so I would recommend doing most of your grocery shopping in Port Angeles on the way in. The town has 2 restaurants, and a co-op and larger gas station mart for essentials. Would stay again!

Beautiful place with lots to explore
We really enjoyed our stay here. The property is on a beach loaded with neat things to find. The home is very clean and up to date. Kitchen well stocked. Linens very nice and beds very comfortable. Nice fire pit with wood provided. For hikers, it is a bit far from the Hurricane Ridge entrance, but we still did it. Pretty close to the ONP at Ozette and Shi Shi area. We had a great time hiking the mountains, the coast and exploring the beach front. Would love to come back!

Beautiful location with everything you need
Not much to add on top of all the other reviews. We went while much of ONP was closed due to COVID and were worried about having enough to with two young kids. No need to worry. We spent lots of time at the tide pools, played in the river (brought our paddle boards and went up and down), and watched the eagles. The Lake Crescent area of ONP was open so we were able to do the Marymere Falls hike. One thing I would note is that the WiFi was pretty slow, but to be expected somewhere that remote. We ended up tethering off our cell phones (T-Mobile had pretty good speeds).

Beautiful well stocked space
The house is great with lots of surprising and thoughtful amenities (kids toys, candles, a golf video game in the garage that we lost a few of our men folk to for a bit, great fire pit, and a fishing pole our 13 year old loved casting off the beach). There was some confusion with the online description in terms of number of beds verses number of allowed people, but I think it's been corrected.

The bay is your backyard
Really beautiful property right on the bay. The backyard is right on the beach, which is a pebbled beach with calm waves. The view out the kitchen and living room windows is amazing. The kids loved the six bunk beds (just be careful on the top bunks). The kitchen was very well stocked with both utensils and pantry items. Shower and laundry items are provided as well. The only strange thing was that they told us they only provide one roll of toilet paper per stay, so bring your own. We spent every morning and night sitting by the water, and during the day, it was a great location to reach ONP and the Pacific coast. There is a small co-op nearby for basic needs. Overall, highly recommended.

Perfect for us & our grown up children to enjoy each other & the ocean! We used the kitchen ALOT & found every utensil we needed. We especially loved doing the dishes while looking out to the beautiful surf. Many of us had a nice time sitting around the outdoor firepit. Outstanding!

Beautiful view!
We couldn’t get enough of the beautiful view out back, and enjoyed the fire pit a few nights as well. We saw sea otters in the kelp forest just off the property, and my kids loved running around on the beach and finding unique rocks. The inside decor is very nice and looks like a professional decorator did it, and the beds in the two main rooms were super comfortable with what looked like new pillows and sheets. The only downside to our stay was a terrible smell when we first checked in—maybe the previous occupants had been smoking in there or something. We had to air out the house for about a day with all windows open (and cook some food) to get the smell to go away. Also, I was thankful for a previous review that mentioned that it’s best to bring what you need with you...Clallam Bay itself has very little in the way of grocery shopping/provisions (it appears to be a very impoverished town in general). Don’t miss the hike to Cape Flattery, and we also enjoyed Shi Shi beach although the hike was long and muddy.

Property was amazing and as listed on the website or even better. The location is so fine that we did not even want to leave to go visit other places. The kids enjoyed the place thoroughly. Get Away from it All
The house has been reasonably remodeled; it is clean, well stocked. Our kids had a great time throwing rocks and searching for sea creatures, studying driftwood. The Juan de Fula Straights are alive with sailboats, ferries, merchant ships and the sunsets are glorious. The salt air collects on the windows so I washed them to fully enjoy the wonderful view. My family laughed at my OCD tendencies but I was happy.
