"Oh this Cabin is so cute. We arrived just before Thanksgiving and they had holiday lights and a tree up. Such a warm welcome!! The house warms up quickly with the central heat and the fireplace is a picture perfect spot to get toasty warm. Took us less than 10 minutes to drive into Helen and enjoy the town and have a delicious meal! The cabin does have squeaky floors as mentioned in other reviews but I found it charming. "We picked Palmlake Cottage because it was very close to our son and it was pet friendly, also access to a lake. Well it definitely surpassed our expectations, everything you would ever need was provided and the cottage itself was meticulously clean. Cliff was always available if you needed him for anything. "It was a very charming cabin. Pretty and clean, standard mountain cabin home. Convenient to town with a dollar general nearby. Host was responsive. Quaint but small. Porches do not connect. Most will have a hard time using downstairs toilet, if you need to spread your knees, forget it. The space is just wide enough for the toilet. Walls on both sides.
