A paradise for outdoor enthusiasts, nature lovers, and anyone in need of a peaceful escape. Enjoy a wilderness experience with the comfort of modern amenities in an area that’s called Elk Meadows for a reason. This mountain cabin lies among the elk and evergreens, where you’ll find calm and create lasting memories. The cabin features custom woodwork and cabinetry throughout, and a huge covered deck to enjoy your morning coffee, soak up the summer sun, view the vibrant vine maples in autumn, and watch the snowflakes fall in winter. The modern cook’s kitchen is equipped with quartz countertops and stainless steel appliances including a dual fuel double oven. Other features include a 4K High Def LCD LED TV and Blue Ray player (for movies and CDs) and a Bluetooth receiver and speakers to play music right from your phone. The open floor plan is great for gatherings and offers amazing natural light. Each floor features its own bedroom and bath for privacy and convenience.

Without ever leaving Elk Meadows, head outside to watch local wildlife, take a 5-minute walk to the Yakima River (a blue ribbon trophy trout stream) for kayaking, rafting and fly fishing, and ride mountain bikes in summer. Expand your range for swimming, paddle boarding, and boating at Lake Cle Elum, hike hundreds of trails at Salmon la Sac, the Teanaway Valley and Hex Mountain, bike paved trails at Suncadia or mountain bike the Rat Pack or Iron Horse Trail. Go horseback riding or feel some serious horsepower dirt biking and ATVing on nearby trails.

Come winter, snowshoe right out the front door and make snow angels in the yard, or venture out for cross-country skiing at Cabin Creek, tubing, downhill skiing or snowboarding at one of Snoqualmie’s 4 ski resorts, ice skating at Suncadia’s outdoor rink, or arrange a holiday sleigh ride. Snowmobile rentals and tours are available nearby at the Last Resort on Lake Cle Elum.

Visit the historic coal mining town of Roslyn where the hit TV series Northern Exposure was filmed (and parts of the set are still up today). Stroll the Sunday Farmer’s market in Roslyn from June till September. Grab a beer and a show at the famous Brick Tavern (Washington’s oldest continually operating saloon). Find a good read at Basecamp Books & Café, get a pint at Roslyn Brewing, and grab a bite at Village Pizza or Roslyn Mexican Grill. See a flick at the historic Roslyn Theater. Visit Swiftwater Cellars for a flight or indulge in a spa treatment at Glade Spring Spa. For a fine cup of joe, don’t miss Pioneer Coffee in Cle Elum.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles.

Relaxing spot
This is our second trip to the cabin. My long-time friend and I take a week each year for golf, fishing and cribbage. The cabin is a perfect spot. Easy access to the Yakima River and Suncadia Golf courses. The cabin is well maintained. The kitchen is excellent. The deck and the surrounding tall trees are relaxing.

Home Away From Home
I have never felt so "at home" at a rental property. This exceedingly well maintained cabin in the woods is sparkling clean and designed with the most tasteful and warm interior materials. It is very private. Although there are homes nearby you cannot see any from the cabin. Surrounded by tall beautiful Northwest evergreens, you feel as though you are alone in the woods. It should be noted that you can hear the I-90 traffic from the deck of the cabin. That was the only less than stellar aspect of the cabin, but I would return in a heartbeat inspire of that.

Nicely constructed cozy cabin in the woods.
Looked like a newly and nicely constructed cabin. Yakima river is only a few steps down. And there is a big covered patio overlooking the river. Few things to keep in mind: - There is no WiFi, but 5G does work, albeit a bit slow. - Cabin is a bit hard to find if you arrive at night. - If it snows, it can be hard to get your car out of the neighborhood, since there is a slope.

Beautiful cabin, no wifi
Wonderful getaway, love the cabin and the woodsy setting. Very nice furnishings everything clean and comfortable. No wifi though and that can be an issue nowadays. Also the yard had a lot of poison ivy, recommend warning signs for those areas. These were the only two issues but overall the place was very nice.

The cabin was amazing!
We had a great time at the cabin! Only issue we had was regarding the amplifier to connect to the speakers, it wouldn’t get out of standby mode. Not a huge deal, but it would have been nice to be able to use the deck speakers. We saw deer and wild turkey’s, my kids loved that part of the trip! We will definitely stay again!

Wonderful weekend trip
Everything was good, although the garbage under the sink had not been emptied, their note asked use to throw in a load of laundry if we had time, but both the washer and dryer had items in them. The house was wonderful, although our kids could not join us as planned.

beautiful house very well equipped, my only complaint is that there was no wifi in the house, an access pin was provided but the wifi was not found because it did not have a router I spent my stay without internet.

Lovely place to stay. It was a Mom’s getaway for the weekend. Totally great place to unplug and unwind. My only gripe is with the property management, Vacasa, when I sent them questions before our stay we did not get any response at all. Great weekend, super relaxing.

Nice cabin
This cabin was lovely- new and had all the space we needed. It’s in an area that is a bit off the beaten path, so heading into town for food, activities, etc. took about a ten minute drive. The neighborhood is a mix of permanent residents and properties that are being developed- there was some construction noise going on. The creek/river in front of the house was pretty, but not good for swimming or much recreation.

Very relaxing stay in nice cabin in beautiful, quiet neighborhood. Beds very comfortable and cabin was equipped with most things we needed. Close enough for fun day visiting Yakima breweries and wineries. Rode the Canyon bike ride and nice to come back to this comfortable cabin!
