Nice quiet farm stay
Great hosts, property exactly as described, and nice stay on a small farm. Really delicious food available from the hosts, although a bit pricey - we got the dinner, was really nice, best asparagus I've ever tasted! The barn loft is pretty solid - lacking some things like a kitchen sink to wash glasses (did this in the bathroom), but that was all fine. A little bit of noise from the commercial kitchen for their catering business , but nothing significant. Pretty hot in the loft too - we arrive on a 85 degree day, and took about 30 minutes of running the unit and fans to get comfortable. If you're coming on a hot day, might be worth messaging the hosts to ask them to start running the cooling and fans like an hour before you plan to arrive. Overall, very enjoyable, good value for cost.

Cater my life!
We were in town visiting family and it was lovely to have our own space at the end of the day. If you stay here without ordering a meal from Ripe Choice, you are missing out! The owners asked for any dietary needs and I have a few, which they worked around deliciously.

Ripe Choice, right choice
The weather was cold and rainy and the power went out, but having said that John and Tammy were way beyond wonderful checking in with us making sure that we were warm and comfortable. Do the ripe thing, get the breakfast! We did and it was amazing. And it was delivered to us HOT! We loved our time and will be back!

This is a wonderful place to stay. It is very beautiful, quiet, relaxing, and so comfortable.
We loved staying here. The hosts, Mark and Tammy, were so helpful from the beginning of the registration process to the last day of our stay. They were especially nice and gave us lots of good advice about the area. The property is just as beautiful as it looks in the photos. The view from each of the windows was amazing. It is so relaxing and comfortable and we enjoyed every day. We can’t wait to stay here again.

Amazing idyllic retreat stay
We stayed here for a five day personal Easter retreat and it was such a wonderful idyllic stay. Everything about the experience felt so beautiful and accommodating. Check-in was so pleasant, from the welcome messages Mark sent (complete with food, wine, and activity reco's) to the meticulous attention given to the room to make it feel country-home warm and clean modern luxury all at once. We loved the little touches sprinkled about like Easter eggs - the little games area with board games, yoga mat, toys for dogs (although we didn't have one), the jars of half-and-half and honey, little chalkboards with well wishes and reminders., the flashlights for exploring at night (which we did). The grounds were beautiful, even more so than they described. We enjoyed walking around and doing quiet reflection (we didn't tell them we were there for meditation, but it made no difference whatsoever as they fully respected our space and it was so quiet throughout) - they had little areas for sitting and relaxing all around. Vineyards, an olive orchard next door, lots of green, and a distant view of the lake, the occasional chicken, pig, deer, and even their dogs greeting us. Not least were Mark and Tammy themselves. They are such lovely, welcoming people. We eventually sprung for Chef Tammy's breakfast, which we initially thought was a bit pricey but in the end was worth every penny. With every bite, we were overwhelmed with both the feeling of homey nostalgia and the sophistication of a Michelin star restaurant at once. Every element of it - bacon, eggs, yogurt, granola, scone - was done perfectly. I know it sounds weird, but that's the only way I can explain it, like if your grandma was the chef for the Four Seasons. It was amazing - we regret not going for the dinner! If you're staying here, don't hesitate - you won't regret it. All in all a good stay, one of our most memorable trips. We'll be back!

Return Trip As Amazing As First Experience - Coming Back Soon!
This is the second time we have stayed at this property and it is truly a gem! John and Tammy are amazing hosts, super communicative, sweet, and helpful. Tammy is an amazing chef, so you absolutely have to order at least one meal when you stay here. We were celebrating my girlfriend's birthday this time and there was a mixup in the flower delivery. John and Tammy went out of their way to give us a bottle of champagne when we arrived and then they also drove out and picked up the flowers I had ordered. The farm is beautiful, there are many nearby wineries, and an amazing hike up Mt Konocti if you want to do that. We will definitely be back for a third time soon!

Fantastic getaway
We wanted to explore the Lake County region, north of Napa/Sonoma, as another lovely wine region, plus they have orchards. Glad we did, especially in November with the beautiful fall colors. Our hosts were lovely, and in true “bed and breakfast” fashion, our host, a professional chef and caterer, made the most amazing breakfasts! We even opted for a dinner one night, also amazing. We loved the charming farm setting with animals roaming, and the loft accommodations we’re comfortable, spacious, and well appointed with all the amenities you’d need or want. We initially found this property because they are dog-friendly. What a great find for all these other reasons! We plan to return again during spring or early fall at harvest.

Peaceful location
We were visiting family and vacationing in Lakeport, CA and the Ripe Choice Farm was the perfect location. We were right down the road from our family and it was a great base for exploring Northern California (local and day trips). Lakeport is a rural, small town area and it's just how we like it. It isn't overly busy and touristy. The Ripe Choice Farm was just as described. It has everything a couple needs for a quiet and peacefully trip. The vineyards, orchards, and farm animals are a plus.

Best night of sleep ever
There was a certain magic about this place - this was quite literally the best night of sleep I have had in any lodging property. The place is immaculate and there is plenty of parking under the apple trees. The town nearby, Kelseyville, is a quaint farming town with several outstanding wineries and a great brewery as well. There are nicer places to eat like the Saw Shop and Redd’s at the local airport and also down-home places like Lyndall’s. I would suggest doing as we did - three nights. It gave us a chance to explore and enjoy. We are already scheming our return and quite looking forward to it.

Very nice secluded space, great hosts, some small improvements would help
Nice secluded rustic space with a very comfy bed. Great value for the price. One large room with a modern bathroom and shower. AC worked great during some very hot weather. Layout of the room is a bit strange with TV on the side of bed and chairs across the room. Wi-Fi Internet was very spotty connection - may have been due to heat. There is an industrial kitchen just below the “loft” that was a little noisy but not bothersome. The space would be significsntoy improved if they added a kitchenette with a sink, small stove, and cooktop to make own food. Currently just a fridge and microwave for eating.

Cute comfortable loft, great food!
The loft is very comfortable with a nice king bed and mini kitchen; basically fridge and microwave. AC worked great. The farm is very cute with chickens, pigs, and a giant tortoise. All so cute and mesmerized for my dog. The best part was having Tammy's great creations for breakfast and dinner. So nice! Dinner was fabulous steak, all the sides, and a great bottle of wine. Breakfast was perfect. Made the stay super relaxing. The area is great for wine tasting and a bit of hiking (although a bit hot for the hike). Unfortunately, the lake itself...so low. Very sad. And an outbreak of algae so no swimming. But great stay at the farm! Thank you!

So happy to have found this lovely farm. Quiet, peaceful setting. Just what we wanted.
We had a lovely time staying at the farm for the most part of a week. We had two delicious breakfasts and dinner one evening provided by Tammy. It was too hot to eat al fresco but we did have our morning coffee under the beautiful tree in the yard. I believe the tree was a London Plane which is very pretty to sit under and enjoy the shade. We enjoyed walking around the farm and seeing all the animals. We were looking for a quiet escape from city life, and we got that and more. The bright new moon and the twinkling stars each night was delightful, Mother Nature at her finest. The accommodations had everything we needed, a comfy bed, a/c and peace and quiet, priceless. We spent most of our days exploring, going to the ocean, the farmers market, and north to see the giant Redwoods. Communications with John were great. I would love to return.

I had a wonderful short stay in the barn loft – and hope to return. It was large, comfortable and breezy with lovely views of the farm. I especially enjoyed strolling through the grape vines and fruit trees and relaxing in an Adirondack chair in the shade of an old oak. Friendly owners and a great location for exploring Lake County.

Tammy & Mark were wonderful hosts. Tammy made us the most delicious dinner.. The apartment was large and comfortable and the property was beautiful.
