Edgewater Retreat - Lakeview Home By Lake Whitney

Edgewater Retreat is a charming and clean three bedroom, two bath home located in a nice area on Lake Whitney. You can see the Whitney Dam from the backyard and living room. Edgewater Retreat also has a large open kitchen for the culinary enthusiast. Ample dining space for six at the table and two more at the island bar. A covered patio with outdoor furniture and a charcoal pit and a large fenced back yard. We offer most of the accommodations you would find in your own home. Edgewater Retreat is centrally located to so many great things associated with Lake Whitney, Bosque & Hill County. We are just around the corner from Uncle Gus' Marina where you can launch your boat or rent a boat for the day. For swimming we are just a few minutes away from Lofers Bend Park and Walling Bend Park. You can launch a boat at both of these locations as well.

If you get enough of the lake you can always venture into historic Bosque County. Clifton, Meridian, and Valley Mills offer antique stores, art galleries, restaurants and museums. There's also golfing. White Bluff Resort & Lake Whitney Golf Club near Whitney offer good pricing and great golf.

We are NOT a waterfront property. We do have a great view of Lake Whitney.

Cute little house
Me and my family came to town for a funeral. It was Cozy and welcoming. It would have costed me 1000 dollars to stay in a hotel for 2 nights but i obviously made the right decision. Thank you for the stay!

Quiet get away by the lake
The owner and property manager were easily accessible to answer questions. The house had a nice view, was very comfortable and clean, giving us plenty of room to spread out and visit with family.

Nice property; convenient to the boat ramps.
We rented this property for a fishing tournament on Lake Whitney. Overall a nice house — the kitchen was well stocked. Just bring your own ice as the ice maker is not hooked up. The patio was very nice and where we spent most of our time — the breeze was nice! The satellite internet was hit and miss causing the tv to buffer most of the time. One of the bathtubs was not rinsed out and doesn’t drain well. There were no extra trash bags and not enough toilet paper for 4 people for a 4 night stay. The AC can’t be set past 72 so if you’re hot natured, bring a fan!

Property is very close to marina and boat ramp. The exterior of the property is well manicured as are the neighboring home. Beautiful views of the lake. Communication with owners exceeded our expectations!! Also, the kitchen is very well equipped which made it so easy to prepare food for our entire family!! The views of the lake are incredible!

Clifton House multiple days of fun.
Although there were a few issues with essentials like towels and dishwashing soap the house was fantastic. The pictures of this house are nice. It does seem that the house needs a little bit of updating. The TV did not work correctly for what we were looking for local channels barely available because antenna could not get reception sound would disappear randomly throughout TV shows although Amazon prime video was available for free for guests the reception was not strong which caused to lag. Grill needs to be either replaced or the griddles need to be changed because while grilling the griddles would fall into the charcoal. Although all of these issues the communication with the property managers was great! Both Don and Jessica were awesome and response was quick. Regardless of the issues we had I would still rent this house again.
