Rangers Cabin,- ideal couples retreat with pristine panoramic mountain views!

Welcome to the Ranger's Cabin! Follow the elk hoof prints to the 100-year-old door that welcomes you into this one-of-a-kind, newly handcrafted Wyoming log cabin. Designed and built by the Wyoming owners, this well thought out, serene, stand-alone cabin is situated on 5 acres with pristine panoramic mountain views. You will enjoy the quiet, stare in amazement at the starlit sky and ponder the incredible beauty that surrounds you in the beautiful Wapiti Valley. A great location to enhance your vacation to YNP, Shoshone National Forest, the Beartooth Mountains, Cody and all the adventures and scenic byways this area has to offer.

The studio cabin has a king size bed and small living area with sofa and coffee table. The bathroom features a custom built vanity and gorgeous tiled shower. Kitchen amenities include an apartment size stove/oven, under cabinet refrigerator, microwave, standard and Keurig coffeepots, toaster, cookware and tableware. There is a small seating area and gas barbecue grill outside. Our goal is for you to enjoy the great outdoors, this property does not have internet or TV, however there is cell phone reception for most carriers. Come and experience how and why we live in the West.

*If you are couples traveling together, look at booking both Ranger's Cabin and Buckshots Bunkhouse- they are on the same property.

*This property does not have AC. At night temperatures drop to the 55 or 60 degrees and low to no humidity, opening windows at night cools the property down and lets in the fresh mountain air!

Beautiful log cabin
The views from the front porch was phenomenal. The cabin was beautifully furnished and so cozy for the two of us. We would have stayed longer if we had the time.

Perfect Inside and Out
This was the very best small cabin I’ve ever stayed at. The interior was decorated to match the Wyoming charm and the exterior was breathtaking! We even brought dinner in, so we could enjoy the beauty.

Simply the best!
Yes, simple and the best! We loved our stay at Rangers Cabin. It was so quite and peaceful (and windy haha). Perfect little cabin for those that don't need much. This was one of our top rentals we've ever had and if we come back to the area we will be staying here again!

Cozy and Awesome Cabin!!!
The cabin was awesome and met all expectations!!! This was our base camp for Yellowstone and Grand Teton and worked out perfect. My wife and I were able to re-energize and start our empty nest phase of life together. Thanks again for the hospitality and we will definitely recommend to anyone taking a western adventure!!!!

Cabin in Wapiti
The cabin was wonderful along with the location. It was special for both of us but if you expect a television, don't. Enjoy the Vista but if you want some modern entertainment, bring a some music and Bluetooth speaker.

Very clean cabin
Well-designed cabin with modern fixtures (tiling, counter-tops). Well-maintained and very clean. Electric heater worked well (we were there in the fall with outside temperatures down to 40s).

Four Days of Peace
As beautiful as the cabin is, nothing prepared me for what I saw when I sat on the porch and looked out across the valley. Or after sunset when we walked outside and looked up at the stars. We chose this cabin because of its perfect proximity to Yellowstone, but the view from this cabin didn’t take a back seat to the national park. The cabin itself was exactly what we needed with nothing to distract. The owners were responsive and kind even when the need was a product of our own ignorance. It was perfect.

September 2016 stay
My wife and I had a great stay. The sun rises at the east end of the valley and sets in the west end, very spectacular in terms of placement. The location is easy access to Yellowstone (the drive to Yellowstone along the Shosone (?) river was as beautiful as Yellowstone) and Cody. The owner very nicely provided tickets to 'old' Cody, which if you like museums, is terrific (a 'living museum' that is very, very well done). The cabin was perfect. It is in great shape, absolutely spotless, and filled with antiques. We loved having coffee in the morning with the bunny that lives there. This is a terrific place and we highly recommend it.

Perfect In Every Way
This little cabin couldn't have any better. The location is a short distance to Cody and close enough to Yellowstone. You have the most beautiful sky at night I've ever seen. The stars, the Big Dipper and the Milky way are so clear that you think you can reach out and touch them. It is immaculate. The décor is rustically adorable. I would stay here without a moment's hesitation. We used the grill and loved having the leftovers in the fridge when we got "home" in the evenings from wherever we had roamed that day.

Yellowstone Get Away
Our stay at the Cowboy Cabin was ideal. It was just the right size for the 2 of us. Cozy and comfortable are an accurate description. It was truly an "unplugged" experience as there is very little signal for electronics and there is no TV. The cabin is perfectly decorated and stocked with all the necessities. There is both kinds of coffee pots, Kuerig and drip, to suite your preference. The surroundings left us speechless. Beauty is an understatement. We saw wildlife in many places and up close. There were lots of elk and deer. There is a pair of rabbits that campout just behind the cabin. There was a red fox that visited us briefly one evening. The drive to both Yellowstone National Park and Cody are short and beautiful. After day in the Park the drive back to the cabin was laced with wildlife and the beauty of nature. The sunsets are fabulous as well as the brightness of the stars at night. It is VERY dark. Very little outdoor lighting but it make for excellent star gazing. We certainly will stay here again if we make it to Cody Wyoming again. And I suspect we will. Thank you for sharing this unique property with us. We didn't want to leave.

Cozy cabin with beautiful views
This cabin had everything we needed for our 2 night stay. It was the epitome of a cozy log cabin. The views of the sun rising and mountain were perfect for drinking coffee & listening to the wind blow. We loved the location, not too far from the East entrance of Yellowstone with great restaurants within 5-30 minutes. Cabin was clean & new, exactly as described in the listing. I loved the check-in and out instructions via text too.

Slice of Heaven for 2
Ranger Cabin was the perfect place for our trip into Wyoming. It was just outside of Cody and close to Yellowstone’s East entrance. We explored Yellowstone, Teton, Medicine Wheel and even went into Montana for a day to explore Little Bighorn Battlefield. The view from the cabin never grew old and we enjoyed waking up to the snow on the mountains & in Yellowstone mid trip. Highly recommend Ranger Cabin for those wanting a peaceful setting in Wapiti for two.
