"Had a lovely time in your chateau, thanks very much. The house was really beautiful, loads of space and lots of quirky features like the piano, vintage bicycles and attic rooms. Lady next door selling local cognac was very friendly. At night the sky was so dark, excellent for stargazing. The river charente is lovely for swimming in. Super!"

"Cadre agréable, calme, vacances reposantes, piscine raffraichissante. Propriétaires accueillants et discrets. Seul bémol, la location ne comporte pas deux chambres comme écrit dans l'annonce. Les couchages enfants sont dans l'espace salle à manger/cuisine et le couchage pour les adultes se trouve dans une pièce attenante séparée d'une cloison seulement au 3/4. Même si nous avons maqué d'intimité, nous avons passé un séjour agréable."

"The staff is helpful and friendly. The rooms are alright too. But the location of the hotel is convenient only if the purpose of your trip is to visit the Cartoon Museum, which is around the corner. To get to the old town, where all the monuments, museums, churches, and restaurants are, you have to walk up a steep hill for fifteen minutes."

"We weren’t disappointed by this property at all. We stayed for 3 nights while attending a wedding . I will say that this place while soundproofed, is not quiet, you can hear people in other rooms. The beds could be a bit more comfortable too. Other than that, our room was clean, the staff were friendly and spoke English. The location is beautiful, we loved Jonzac and would return. "

"Beautiful family chateau, plenty of space. Large rooms downstairs for entertaining, relaxing and playing pool. Two kitchens, with all the facilities you would expect including a plethora of utensils.. All Main bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms and all with baths. "Exceptional property in beautiful rural location. 18 of our family stayed for a week and thoroughly enjoyed this delightful holiday accommodation. Superb pool, great covered/outside eating area, boules, table tennis etc. Air conditioning in one apartment building, thick walls and therefore relatively cool in the other apartment building. Really super stay. Note for English renters: Towels and toilet paper not provided as we believe is the custom in France."

"We were given a warm friendly welcome from owner Nicolas who showed us around his lovely homely farmhouse. The house looked stunning in the warm Charentes sunshine and is set in magnificent gardens filled with flowers and a fascinating variety of trees including cherry, apple, fig, olive, chestnut etc, etc. The top of the garden has space for games and would be great for kids. "Loved the outside area, pool is lovely and welcome with the heat in our 2nd week (~38C). Eating outside, under the cover of the wisteria plant was also a pleasure to avoid the sun. House is nice, particularly eating and living areas although the kitchen could be equipped better (utensils, mugs etc), but we managed ok. The house is old, but is in keeping with the other buildings in the area. However there are elements of the house that would benefit from being updated, e.g shelving in bathrooms,...
