"The hotel was very well situated for our needs and Great Dunmow is a very lovely spot, with a great feel to the high street. Upon arrival we were met by the receptionist, Mandy, who was friendly and knowledgeable and helped us with the usual arrival procedures. All of the staff were friendly and keen to help. We had a meal in the restaurant that was first rate and some welcome drinks in the bar before heading off to an event in the town. The room was lovely, well appointed, quiet and cosy....

Found the whole experience to be really lovely. "First time i have stayed at The Fox Inn but won't be my last, a great place to stop with very friendly staff. The room was fantastic and had everything you need, tea, coffee, shower & my room also had a bath.Plenty of parking directly outside your room. "A lovely homely cottage, comfortable and well equipped, with a rather special riverside location offering views and privacy. Our first time to this area so enjoyed some river walks and hearing interesting history of Rowhedge gleaned from the very friendly locals. We only had a short stay but got a lot in , including a trip to Wivenhoe on the riverside opposite. Will definitely rebook next time we are 'out East' ."
