The property was in a good location with lots of things to do within walking distance. The room was clean, but the smell of mold was over powering. Had to keep the windows open all day and night just to be able to be in the room. Yes the smell was really that bad. When we i formed the staff there was no apology given. I would not stay in the hotel again.

Like any other hotel in Europe, it’s small but clean. Elevator in only up to 1st floor. You have to drag your luggage if you’re on the higher floor. Restaurants is everywhere and you can walk everywhere. I like that it’s in front of the river.

Great location. Very close to everything and food at that restaurant was fantastic. The potato and bacon soup was amazing. 2 things I didn’t like about this property. 1: no elevator/lift to our room floor. This was incredibly annoying as we had our 2 year old with a pram and moving her when she was sleeping and luggage was not ideal. I wouldn’t stay again unless we were on a floor where there was a lift and didn’t have to go up and down stairs with a pram and very young children. 2: The pillows are not great. Better off sleeping without a pillow. Really bad pillows seem to be the theme in Europe. So fast stayed in 4 hotels and all have horrible pillows. Overall it’s a great hotel and would recommend but not to anyone with a child under 3 unless you stay on a floor where there is a lift.

The room was small (we knew this from booking info) but such a quiet, unique location. We were in a great, walkable location to many things in Cologne. The front desk staff was very helpful with restaurant recommendations and calling a cab to head back to the train station. We had a great stay!

Loved our stay here, on a beautiful street right in the middle of everything! About a 2 minute walk to the Christmas market and 10 minute walk to the Cathedral, loads of pubs and restaurants really close. Really clean and spacious, staff are lovely and beautiful view of the river from our room, would recommend and stay here again, thank you! Breakfast is just pastries but you are so close to everything in this location it’s nice as a quick snack and then explore and eat in the city.

The hotel location was good for the Alt Stadt and within 15 minute walk of the main railway station. However the bed in room 211 was lumpy and the window did not close properly, so let in a lot of noise (and cold air) from the street outside. Rhein cruise party boats load and off load opposite the hotel so can be quiet noisy late at night - take ear plugs

Excellent location, brilliant staff and the free quick coffee and pastry for breakfast was inspired. It is in a lovely place. The only reason it was not 5 was the noise from the bar on the street opposite street in the early hours on a coupe of nights.

Comfortable room and wonderful staff. Perfect location. Allowed us to leave our luggage since we arrived early. Front desk was very helpful with questions we had and spoke wonderful English. Bed was pretty soft, not my preference. But comfortable. Small room. Wonderful shower with hot water and great water pressure. There was a bit of an unpleasant smell in our room/bathroom but we opened the window and it cleared out. Would stay again.

Brilliant location, walking distance for everything in the old town, and only two minutes walk to the cathedral. The reception team were really friendly and helpful - the safe in our room wasn’t working when we arrived and this was rectified very quickly. The room was compact but completely adequate, and the shower was good too. The temperature was a bit high, and we seemed to have no control over it (the guide on our walking tour said this was normal in winter) but opening the window brought the temperature down and we slept well. On arrival we were given a voucher for a discount in the restaurant which we used, and the food was very good, would recommend guests to make use of it.
