Bright & Private 2-Bedroom 1100-sqft COS Apartment

Summary:
This bright and spacious 1100 sqft 2-bedroom basement apartment has easy access to shopping and the interstate, which makes it a great "home base". It backs up to a natural space that often attracts local wildlife. The main room windows are above grade so they let in lots of light and you can see the landscape outside. The large white window wells in the 2 bedrooms also let in lots of light.

The Space:
The kitchen is stocked with utensils, microwave, refrigerator/freezer and hotplate (but no stove/oven).

We're about 1/4 mile away from a trailhead to Pulpit Rock, which offers incredible panoramic views of the entire mountain range; we definitely recommend this short (but moderately difficult) hike.

Centrally located:
- 5 to 10 minutes from theater and restaurants/shopping
- 10 minutes from Air Force Academy South Entrance
- 15 minutes to Downtown Colorado Springs
- 20 minutes to Garden of the Gods
- 25 minutes to Colorado Springs Airport

Guest Access:
You'll have full access to the entire apartment. There is a (fairly steep) gravel pathway down to the front door, but it can be a bit difficult to back down or up again with a car so please park on the street, due to a city ordinance this is required. We are located on a cul-de-sac so please be respectful of our neighbors when parking (also in general).

The Neighborhood:
The Pulpit Rock neighborhood is an established neighborhood with lots of large trees. It's secluded but central We're a short 5 minute walk to the entrance to Pulpit Rock Open Space.

Getting Around:
You'll be centrally located less than 5 minutes from either I-25 or Academy (major north/south roads) with lots of shopping, restaurants, etc. off of both. This is a suburban home so a car is going to be your best mode of transportation (true for most of Colorado Springs).

Other Things to Note:
The front door to the space is pretty tough to open. We're working on a fix for this, but in the meantime a good tug is needed to get the door open (after unlocking it, of course).

Nice Stay
We had a nice stay here. The neighborhood felt safe and the location was close to everything. The only issue was the door was hard to open and shut but my husband was always able to get it. The space was clean and good for the price.

Terrible experience
Tried to communicate with host prior to the stay and was unable to do so. Kept getting messages from 'assistants' and asked for them to call me so we could resolve an issue, they never did. I tried calling their number and it went to an answering service. I would stay away from this property.

Clean but basic
Had my son and daughter stay with us but there were no extra linens until the next day. The couches were not very comfortable-pretty saggy and the pull out bed was uncomfortable. Parking was pretty limited and tight. The space was very clean though and there was room for us all to sleep.

A real nice place!
I liked this place. It's clean and comfortable and ideally located. Guests should be prepared for some minor noise from the residents above. I was fine with it once I discovered a small fan in the closet with which I created enough white noise to make it ignorable. It's definitely a good place to stay.

Ryan’s place was so good for our little family. It had everything we needed and the property is in a quiet neighborhood and very close to shops and restaurants. We would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful property and located in a great location. It is very quiet and peaceful. Really enjoyed our stay. My only recommendation would be to have a more comfortable bed. Otherwise, no complaints and would totally come back.

Great location near USAFA
The rental is in a nice neighborhood and really close to USAFA. The queen beds in the two bedrooms were comfortable. Unfortunately, the fold out sofa was completley UNACCAPTABLE. The matress was stained and the coils were protruding upwards and thus could not be used-- until at least the matress is replaced, the unit only sleeps 4. The sheets for the sofa sleeper were old and fuzzy. The two blue sofas in the picture were probably the most uncomfortable sofas i've ever sat on and WAY past their usage time expectancy. We had five family memebers listed but the unit only had 4 sets of towels. We did contact mgmt and they brought a few more sets of towels and another set of sheets, but they did not do anything about the unacceptable matress. Also, they REALLY need to invest in a coffee table-- maybe when they get new sofas they will. So in summation, if you have a max of 4 and you ONLY are there to sleep, it's fine, but you can't really be comfortable there unless mgmt invests in some MUCH NEEDED UPGRADES. The kitchen table chairs are metal and NEED cushions too. In light of the above, we felt the rental was over priced.

Family friendly
This property is modest in price and a great value for families in a safe residential area. We stayed in the two bedroom unit with a spacious living area, kitchenette, bathroom and laundry. It is close to shopping and restaurants. The only reason I didn’t rate it 5 stars was because we could hear people thru the walls and I am sure they could hear us but this was not an issue at night. I would stay there again if circumstances permitted.

It would be helpful hang a sign above the doors to know which apartment is which. The air conditioning works great!! The beds and couches are comfortable. My only complaint is the noise from above floor. Thank you for an overall great experience.

Clean, lots of amenities.
Everything was clean and in good condition. The kitchen was well stocked with a refrigerator, dishes, silverware, toaster, coffee maker, microwave, dishwasher. No stove, but a toaster oven. The bathroom had soap, shampoo and conditioner, a blow dryer and of course, towels and washcloths. There was also a washer and dryer. Since it was on the bottom floor, each bedroom had a small heater. The host checked in with us to see if there was anything else we needed. I liked it that they had a "whisper" policy at night, but if you wanna party loud, it's not for you. 😊 But for me, it was nice!

Pros: Location & Communication Washer & Dryer Cons: Small crumbs of what appeared to be Dorito chips under the dinning table, refrigerator and freezer had not been cleaned. The apartment is a basement so you can hear people walking. (Mostly after 7 am) The noise is loud at times, but very quiet at night. I would stay again because of the location in town and the location in the neighborhood.

We had a very clean and comfortable stay. It is advertised as listed. Owners live upstairs so be aware that you can hear each other (just like an apartment). No smoking of any kind allowed. Great communication with owners
We had a very brief stay at this property. We booked it for 4 nights and through a series of events with travel difficulties and family only stayed one night. It is clean, has all the basics you'd need, great communication with the owners. One thing I would point out is this is a downstairs apartment and we could hear the people upstairs quite clearly. That is the only reason I didn't give it a 5 star review. I knew from the listing people lived upstairs but did not expect to be able to hear them like we could. I appreciated that the owners checked with us making sure we had an easy time checking in and asked if we were needing anything during our stay.
