Charming, historic, Creekside Cabin nestled at the base of Pikes Peak in Cascade

2-bedroom Cabin and studio Guest House on the beautiful bubbling Cascade Creek.

Built in 1925, situated on Cascade Creek, the ever-present, soothing sound of the creek puts you to sleep and wakes you each morning. The curved moss rock front porch overlooks the creek and is great for morning coffee, reading, or evening cocktails.

The cabin comfortably sleeps 4 and the guest house 2

On the main floor is the master bedroom with a queen Serta Posturepedic mattress, charming bathroom with a vintage claw foot tub/hand shower with fluffy robes and slippers.

There is an eat-in kitchen with banquette seating overlooking a beautiful moss rock wall through large viewing windows, where chipmunks love to help themselves to birdseed or other treats. There is a lighted patio out back for grilling and a stone patio with a table and chairs down by the creek.

Upstairs there is a bedroom with two twin beds, new nightstands/lamps, children's books/toys and bathroom with a newly tiled shower. For those of you with really little ones, we have a new "Pack-in-Play" with removable mattress for your convenience.

The Guest House is available and it's just a few steps away from the Cabin and sleeps two. It has a newer queen bed, vintage dresser and new nightstands and new touch lamps with USB ports. The bath area has a free-standing shower, shelving and hanging storage, comfortable robes and slippers for your enjoyment, a small refrigerator and microwave.

Creekside Cabin is in a quiet private residential neighborhood surrounded by forest, hiking trails, park with playground equipment; easy access to the highway leading to Manitou Springs/Colorado Springs to the East and Woodland Park/Cripple Creek to the West, as well as the Pikes Peak Toll Road.

Wonderful For All Ages
This cabin provided age-appropriate activities and lodging for family members ranging in age from one year to 90. The nearby hiking trail and playground were within walking distance. The creek (~6-12 inches deep) provided an endless source of entertainment and soothing background music. The smaller cabin provided the perfect place for our oldest family member to be on-site, yet under their own roof. Both cabins are beautifully furnished. Everyone felt safe and secure on the property. The hosts were nearby and helpful yet not hovering. All in all, each one of our party of six would return without hesitation!

Great location for family vacation!
Our first major vacation with just my husband and 7.5 y/o son. We were so happy we chose your place to get more of a mountain / cabin in the woods feel! Colorado Springs was just a short drive down the highway and the views to/from the cabin were beautiful. Honestly we spent half of our time around Manitou Springs area as well which was even closer! We appreciated the snacks, coffee for Keurig, and the board games! We visited the Dwellings, Cave of the Winds, Garden of the Gods, Pikes Peak via Cog Railway, Seven Falls, Royal Gorge. Enjoyed Red Leg Brewery, Ivywild School for Food and Drinks, Coffee at the Loft, Mini-golf at Adventure Park, and Amy’s Donuts. Only my husband brought hiking shoes but I wish we would’ve bought some to hit up the Heizer Trail behind the cabin! We conquered the Highway 24 Overlook Trail which would’ve been easier with hiking shoes but we survived. My son and I borrowed one of the walking sticks on the side of the cabin. The creek in front of the house was very relaxing as well! We 100% would stay here again.

Wonderful therapeutic experience
This cozy cabin was one of the best VRBOs we have stayed at. The hosts were most gracious and came to meet us even in the rain. The cascade stream was amazing! I would definitely come back!! The welcome basket was so needed for the kids and they had everything there that we forgot! The guest house was also amazing and worked great for my 18 year old!

Amazing cabin - best vacation ever
5 minutes after checking in, I thought this might be one of the best VRBOs we had ever stayed in which is saying a lot because we’ve been pretty happy with most of our rental houses and condos. By the end of the trip, I was absolutely convinced that this was by far the best. The space was perfect for our family of five plus my brother. It was clean, adorably decorated, and the little touches like the basket of snacks and the cozy robes were so nice. We had everything we needed and more. It’s not a huge house but somehow it’s so well thought out that we had no problem finding spaces to put our things and feel really comfortable…no need to live out of the suitcase. The location is beautiful…sitting on the spacious front porch and watching the creek was so relaxing. You can walk to a restaurant which has wine tasting and also a really nifty “rock shop” that had fun little things for everyone. There’s also some great hiking that my husband and brother tried out, right from the cabin. We were just a few minutes drive from the Cog Railway and the North Pole amusement park. It was not too far from the amazing zoo in Colorado Springs too. The hosts live next door and they came over to welcome us…they were so incredibly nice and friendly and we loved talking with them. We have more things we would like to do in Colorado Springs in the future (that whole area has so much to offer) and I can totally see us coming back to stay at this cabin!

Simply Amazing
We were amazed with the cabin and guest house. Upon arrival we found a basket of snacks left for us. Other added bonuses were slippers and robes and sunscreen. The cabin was spotless and provided comfortable furnishings. The kitchen was the best stocked kitchen we’ve ever had. The front porch was perfect for relaxing near the creek. The owner greeted us after our arrival and was so friendly. She answered questions and gave suggestions for dinner. The Creekside Cabin was a great location for attractions such as Cave of the Winds and Santa’s North Pole. It is nestled in the mountains and very tranquil. We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely return!

Was a wonderful place to relax with family. The park nearby was so nice for the kids to play. The cabin even had things to accommodate our baby. Everything we needed was here. Our favorite was the porch and just sitting and listening to the running water of the creek.

Charming and Relaxing Cottage
In just a few words - wished we had made a longer reservation! The property was charming and relaxing. This was our first VRBO booking and the experience was amazing. Cheryl was very helpful leading up to our stay and the photos don't illustrate how beautiful the location and accommodations are for anyone wanting to enjoy nature. While there is no air conditioning, mother nature takes care of this with some open windows. It was amazing to wake in the morning to cool air passing thru the house. Just didn't want to get up! Hezier Trail is a MUST. Only steps away from the property. Don't waste your time with Wines of Colorado - it may be good food but the service was deplorable. You are minutes of Manitou Springs or Old Colorado City - many options there. But my sole recommendation would be - bring your own food and stay in! We will definitely be back soon!
