Great place, location, some small issues
We loved the place overall. Only quirks here and there that were inconvenient, but nothing major. Would HIGHLY recommend a 4x4 vehicle to get up the driveway, especially if it has been wet weather at all. The hot tub will constantly shut off, which was advertised by the host beforehand, and you just have to pull the breaker and reset it. Some things on the inside of the house were very dusty/dirty, like the floor fan upstairs, which isn’t a huge deal, just when you’re paying hundreds for cleaning fees, you expect it to be clean. Overall, we loved it, it snowed during our stay which made it so magical. Very quaint, charming and secluded area. Great getaway.

A wonderful time
VERY secluded which is what we wanted. No neighbors in sight. Very clean inside. The hot tub had a problem of getting over 90, probably due to the cold. We enjoyed it though. The road in was freshly maintained. Lots of room upstairs for more guests. It stayed very warm even without the wood-burning stove. We'd stay again.

Great Escape!
We had a great time staying here! The property is absolutely beautiful and the Mountain view was amazing. The home was clean and had a few kitchen items (salt, cooking spray, pots, pans, etc). It also has everything you need to use the grill and the hot tub out on the deck. The dryer was broken, so we had to lay all of our clothes out to dry, which was super inconvenient. The stove burners need replaced or cleaned really well, they smoked when cooking and set the smoke alarm off. Also, don’t expect to have a real comfortable place to watch a movie or TV at night. The TV is old with a broken DVD/VHS player built in. Overall, we had a great time and the few inconveniences we experienced were nothing to really fuss about!

Great secluded spot
The property has been a rental for a long time, and it shows. For the most part, it was great. The grill worked, although the heat shields were rusted and disintegrating. Biggest complaint is the broken hot tub lid. Hot tub works, but the lid is in pieces and falling out of it's sleeve, so kind of a pain to put the lid on good enough so the temp was warm the next day. I only harp on that because a hot tub is one of the 'must-haves' when we stay at a rental. Other than that, really good spot and you really feel like you are getting away.

Remote getaway
We were looking for a remote getaway and this more than fit the bill. The house is tucked back into a secluded meadow and the 100+ acres allowed us to wander the property in peace and solitude.

Little get away
We loved the property and privacy. Honestly a few upgrades would of been nice like a modern television, cover for hot tub was broken in two, and the gas grill is on its last leg . Don’t get me wrong it was very nice , just a little up keep would help I think.

Great location
The location is great, lots of privacy. The cabin needs some upgrades old T.V. broken screen door, torn couch, the filter cover was missing on hot tub. Beds were ok a queen size in the bottom bedroom next to the bathroom would have been nice. Over all this is a great place but it could be an amazing place with some newer touches.

Fantastic property
My wife and I had a wonderful time here at the cabin. The town and surrounding area was great also. Wonderful place to totally disconnect and unwind. Plenty of items to use to cook, cabin itself feels larger than it is. The hot tub and the killer views are the best part of this property. We will be coming back!

Relaxing
Beautiful view. The place was a little smaller than you think. The beds are comfortable, but the biggest bed was in the loft not the bedroom. The kitchen didn’t have a lot of supplies which made cooking difficult. We would definitely go back, I would just bring kitchen items.

A true getaway!
This cabin has incredible history, views, and overall feel. My husband and I were truly able to unplug and enjoy our time together. I loved that there was no WIFI (there is cell service) but that made it easier to put down the devices and play the many board games provided in the cabin. We brought all our own food to make meals and the kitchen was fully stocked with all cooking utensils. A couple things I would think about if booking this property: You NEED to have a larger car with clearance to get up the driveway. A small car has a high danger of getting stuck and/or high centered in the ruts that water has created in the gravel driveway. Bring firewood if you want to use the wood stove! It was so nice to bring wood and heat the cabin that way. There aren’t a ton of restaurants immediately around the cabin, so be prepared to drive a little bit to eat out anywhere. Make sure you read the guest book and history of the cabin-we had a lot of fun with that and it made our stay more special. I would definitely stay again. The cabin was clean and well kept. A lovely getaway for my husband and I to escape the city!

Cabin and surrounding property were as advertised. Very nice and peaceful area. only thing we would request is to have a trash can available to put extra trash in during stay! We kept full trash bags inside cabin, as we didnt want to leave trash outside or in screened porch to attract unwanted animals. Other than that small item, place was great!!

We had a perfect long weekend getaway at this gorgeous spot. It was such a cozy, welcoming house on a beautiful property. We had fun hiking the surrounding land, taking in the breathtaking view of Pikes Peak from the balcony, cooking on the grill, going in the hot tub every day, and enjoying the serenity. Highly recommend!
