Liked the place. The kitchen and living area was great. The one bathroom was through a bedroom which was inconvenient for us. Mattresses not great. The neighborhood was quiet. Overall we had a great time and enjoyed our stay. Great communication with the host.

Rustic Cottage… perfect fit for Nashville, IN.
It’s not a 5 Star Hotel by any means, but perfect for a Nashville Indiana and Brown County Vibe! Main Living area very comfortable, the 1 bathroom a little small, but clean with great unlimited hot water and clean. Price may seem high to some but I feel it’s priced fairly given all things considered. So the bathroom fan is a little noisy, but it works, LOL. If it were a brand new pristine house, would be 2x price. Again felt perfect for Nashville..

Quaint honeymoon location
Wonderful 2-bdrm home in the heart of Nashville, IN was the backdrop for our fall wedding celebration. Moondance Vacation Rentals provided all of the amenities of home, and then some. Shopping & dining within easy walking distance. Fall colors in abundance!! Amazing state park a 10-min drive away & a challenging golf course an additional 5-mins past that. The home itself is a renovated studio of a renowned Hoosier artist & has an amazing story! Just add yourself & some local groceries to create a wonderful stay for yourself and/or that special person in your life. We will DEFINATELY keep Moondance Vacation properties at the top of our list for our next local getaway!!

Comfortable Quiet and Clean
Access for mobility limited. Dog door was very small. Very close to town for shopping and restaurants. Wish the hot tub had a hand rail for steady access. Lots of stairs and uneven concrete walks make it challenging. Very nice open floor plan and natural light.

Nashville Peace
We really enjoyed our visit. The cottage was amazing. The sheets smelled wonderful and the house was really clean when we got there. When we had a problem with the lock, we contacted the host and they were able to get us back in the house. I would highly recommend!! Definitely coming back again.

Great location, false advertising
The property is in a great spot! It’s super walkable to all downtown Nashville has to offer, but it’s a quiet space so you get the quaint, small town feel. The pictures listed do not meet expectations, however. The patio was not well cleaned at all. There’s no fence for your furry friends if you need/wanted one. Just a head up too, the only bathroom in the place is in one of the bedrooms, making it very inconvenient for guests staying in the other room to toilet as needed. While it is listed that additional person fees may apply, I feel that should only be applied if you have more people than the place can accommodate. It accommodates 4 people, so in my opinion, no additional person charge should occur until a 5th person is added to the listing. Overall it was a great location for a family trip with pups, but beware of the false advertising of the pictures, the bathroom situation, and gauging for extra money for an already expensive location.

Worst layout-bathroom thru bedroom
Owners seem to be doing minimal effort to make money. Kitchen floor so sticky our shoes crackled when we walked in kitchen. Hence sugar ants. Two outlet above counter not working so Kerig had to go on floor. Outside appearance not like photos-neglect apparent on porches, fencing, furniture, garden. Worst problem-only bathroom is on far side of one bedroom and tiny-edge of toilet 18” from wall. Nice location but we would not recommend.

Not the best for sleeping
The only bathroom is located deep inside one of the bedrooms - very strange configuration. Our son and his wife stayed with us one of the nights we were there and they had to walk through our bedroom to get to the bathroom in the middle of the night. The floor creeks loudly to get to the bathroom and the very loudfan comes on with the light. Add to that a bed that sags towards the middle with two people in it, and you’re not going to get a good nights sleep. Also, the outside no longer looks like the picture. The white picket fence is a shade of green and paint is chipped off with lots of weeds. Outside needs some love as noted from other reviewers. Other than that, location is fantastic and the main room and kitchen is nice.

We had a wonderful time hiking and photographing nature in Brown County State Park and the house was very close to the park and to Nashville. We enjoying shopping the shops as well. Only downside was no fenced in yard for our pet. Otherwise all was good.

Unique home
The home was very nice to stay in. Large living room, full kitchen, spacious bedrooms. Tried very hard not to trip over the fireplace surround since it has a raised lip in its original character. I tried to email the rental company at the end of our stay to inform them about the TV and patio lights, but still have not gotten an answer a week later. The TV in the bedroom would not work. I would try to select a channel to watch and an error would come on the screen about the cables not supporting the connection. We were wanting to use the hot tub one evening, but the Christmas style lights that were strung around the patio wouldn’t work when I went to plug them into the outlet. I’m not sure if the outlet wasn’t working or if the extension cord wasn’t plugged in right. The hot tub was one reason we booked the house and we weren’t able to use it since we couldn’t see. I was disappointed in the cleaning request sheet as part of our checkout process. As part of our rental, we pay a cleaning fee, yet I felt like I did 90% of what a cleaning service would do. Overall we enjoyed our stay with the home only being minutes walk from downtown.

Lovely cottage
We enjoyed our stay greatly. It is a great location that is very walkable to Artists Village. It was very clean. Had all cooking utensils we needed. Hot tub was awesome. It should be noted, though, that the only bathroom at this property is in one of the bedrooms. So you have to interrupt the guest in that bedroom to use the restroom. I was staying with a close friend, so that was not a problem for us.

Great Location
Short walk to everything and short drive to Brown County State Park and Hard Truth Hills. Do not count on the fence alone to restrain your pups, at some points it’s about 2 feet tall. The house is rustic and has the typical wonkiness and charm of an old restored house. It has the smell of a building on a dirt basement, recommend turning on the A/C and fan asap. With a little landscaping, a new bathroom fan that isn’t so loud, a dehumidifier and a new entry door the property could be greatly improved.
