Welcome to your home away from home in this completely updated ranch 3 bedroom 2 full bath home in the middle of Commerce Twp! Great location in the lakes area with numerous parks and beaches available as well as an optional pontoon rental on nearby Union Lake!

Nothing. The host never responded to the information to check-in. Check in was at 4 and host responded at 731pm. (3 and half hours after check in time). We ended up getting a hotel room. I am working on getting a refund.

Wouldn't Stay Here Again
Overall the place was fine. However, it just wasn't somewhere our family felt we could breathe and relax. We come to MI fairly frequently to visit family and would look at other options in the area. Pros: We had a couple of Qs about the check in process and the owner responded very promptly. The house was easy to find. Cons: The house had a musty smell to it. The towels were thin, old and some were stained. The sheets were also thin and some had stained spots on them. The shower curtain was permanently stained on the bottom (assuming from the well water). The mattresses were not comfortable (I know this is a personal preference) and pillows were very thin and felt flimsy.

Horrible Stay
Communications with Adam Wright, the host, were very difficult. The house was not ready to be rented. Storms in the area made things more difficult but the host's incompetence or indifference made our vacation very stressful. The tankless water heater broke twice. No hot water for 10 days. We spent a lot of time waiting for repairs, replacement. Had to use VRBO to get him to communicate. No washer/dryer in house when we arrived. Took days to get them. Oven not usable. Host wanted to replace it but by that time we didn't want to wait for more repair people. TV never turned off and eventually broke. He replaced with small ROKU versions that needed setup (that took a couple days). We could go on and on with problems but there is not enough space allowed. Host was supposed to move us to a different property but never followed through. Eventually, after many hours trying to communicate with the host and the intervention by VRBO, we moved to a hotel. Reimbursement by VRBO was approved for the remainder of our stay. No reimbursement for the inconvenience. We strongly recommend against renting from this host.
