The Lodge is a spectacular cabin on the best lake in Lake Country. The Pipe Lake/North Pipe Lake chain remains clear throughout the summer, has great fishing, recreational opportunities, and a sandy beach and boat launch. Our cabin is on the quieter North Pipe Lake, with easy pontoon/boat/canoe/kayak access to the fully recreational Pipe Lake, giving you two lakes for the price of one! Although we cater to families, with five bedrooms, The Lodge is perfect for a couples weekend, book or crafting club get away or fishing weekends with the guys.
Living Areas
The Lodge has an open floor plan with soaring, vaulted ceilings in the great room, yet remains a warm and inviting home away from home. The great room has access to a multi-level, spacious main deck and a secondary smaller deck off the master bedroom. Windows line three walls of the great room looking out onto the lake, making this space perfect for wild life viewing and watching the gorgeous sunsets. An extraordinary fieldstone, double sided fireplace, hickory floors, a comfortable leather sectional and a baby grand piano make this room so inviting it will be hard to leave!
A fully equipped kitchen, with Sub Zero fridge and a 5 Star range, is a cook's dream. The six burner range with a built in grill and double oven allows for easy, large meal preparation. The over sized fridge is perfect for large gatherings. The kitchen and connected expansive dining room also have a window wall overlooking the lake. The dining room shares the fireplace and is perfect for chilly nights and long board game tournaments. However, throughout the spring, summer and fall, the protected western exposure of the main deck allows comfortable outdoor dining right off the kitchen.
In addition to the amazing upstairs area, the walkout level contains 3 bedrooms and a full bath PLUS another huge amazing living area with a wet bar, fireplace, full window wall and access to two large, shaded patios and the back yard.
Bedrooms
There are two suites of adjoining bedrooms making this cabin perfect for two families to share. Four bedrooms have a lake view and four have direct access to a deck or a patio. The fifth bedroom has a lovely wooded view. The master bedroom has a private deck perfect to enjoy a morning cup or coffee or to watch the sunset in peace. Little ones can share a room right off the master suite if they need to be closer to mom and dad. A large master bath with a soaking tub and separate shower makes this a true master retreat. Need some time away from the kids? This home is the perfect place - a fully insulated walkout level allows kids to have their own space yet close off their bedrooms should they need some privacy too. A separate "parent" bedroom in the walkout level allows a second set of parents to be on that level too. The walkout level bedrooms are very large, giving guests plenty of room to spread out. Windows and patio doors allow a spectacular view of the lake even for the kids.
Outdoor Spaces
The yard is shaded with a combination of white and red pine as well as beautiful hard wood trees including maples and oaks. Fall colors are spectacular and memories are made around the large fire pit as you roast hot dogs and eat those tasty s'mores. Take a short stroll down the steps to the lake where a large, newer TMC luxury pontoon is available for rent for those sunset cruises. Maybe you prefer some old fashioned exercise using the canoe or the kayaks that come with The Lodge rental. Our brand new dock has a fishing bench and swim ladder and there is a lily pad in the lake so kids will spend all day enjoying themselves. Afternoons are spent fishing on this walleye/bass/pan fish lake, swimming, water skiing, canoeing, kayaking or just floating in the lake. Perhaps you just want to curl up with a good book on the front screened porch to enjoy the fresh air. Later you might use the porch for a late night chat or card game should the weather not be agreeable. The kitchen and dining room exit onto the huge deck made for entertaining with a large grill. The lower deck has a hot tub that overlooks the lake and seats six and provides a special view of a sky without light pollution. We dare you to try to count the stars!
