"A ten minute stroll along a pleasant street takes you to the bridge. Cross it and you are at the foot of the delightful town of Blois. There are two small supermarkets on the street, and lovely walks along the river so east to spend days without driving anywhere. Also many, many beautiful towns and chateaux to visit within an hour's drive. The cottage is well-equipped and very comfortable. We would not hesitate to recommend."

"Beautiful country house with lovely architectural features inside and out surrounded by meadows and woods. Close to many other lovely Renaissance castles, romantic little towns and- of course - the Loire. The house was immaculately clean, perfectly equipped to accommodate a large group of adults, every bedroom with its own facilities- we had a marvelous time a d are thankful to ou gracious hosts."

"François - host par excellence - did everthing possible to make my stay probably the best in the 10+ years I’ve been using VRBO worldwide. His very quiet, well-equipped, retro-chic apartment and patio garden, on the left bank of the Loire, two minutes from restaurants, grocery shopping, is the best for biking to nearby chateaux: Chambord, Chaumont, Cheverny and Blois, of course. "This really is rural. It is in the middle of a forest down an unmade road 2 km to nearest village. It is a beautiful location. Host are generous and welcoming. I had to contact local Marie to obtain his phone number to point out he hadn't sent us any info on where the cottage was. Even then the inadequate info sent us the day before we left for France sent us to the wrong "WHITE GATES" (not even visible from road). No welcome pack, just a note in kitchen warning us of £250 Euro fine if we didn't do the washing up on...
