"I booked the double for one person, it was very small but perfect for me. THe gentleman on entering at reception was lovely and helpful and the blonde girl on leaving was also lovely. Basic Irish Tv Channels, No wardrobe to hang clothes or a full length mirror and no extra lock on the door these were my only issues. The bed was spotless and I had a great sleep. Bathroom lovely with a great shower. Coffee machine and kettle with Lyons tea - yahoo!! Fridge not very cold but holds small fresh milk...

"We had a wonderful stay. We had a kettle for tea or coffee in our room with milk provided and delicious little cookies as well. Hillary, the owner brought us a water in a pitcher and glasses if we were thirsty. Breakfast was delicious with options ranging from a full breakfast to a continental breakfast. We very much enjoyed our stay."

"STAY AWAY. This is by the far one of the worst stays I've ever had in all of my times traveling around the world. The listing stated their was a front desk with limited hours and a full Irish breakfast. When I called the number listed on the Expedia listing (which is a woman's personal cell phone), I asked about the breakfast and was blatantly lied to. I was told "We haven't had breakfast since COVID." The reviews on Expedia and Google show this is simply untrue. They were still serving...

"Good location, shame about everything else. Check in was perfunctory, as was service at breakfast. No hospitality at all. Room was the smallest I have ever seen, like sleeping in a caravan. Beds short, my feet were sticking out and I am 5'6", not very tall! No shelf or surface in bathroom for toiletries/make up. Very clean apart from finding an item of clothing left under the bed by a previous guest. This is an expensive guesthouse and we were overcharged on checkout, only by a couple of euro...

"Good, affordable spot not far from the main hub of action. We got a room that opened up into a kitchen and living area with an extra bed for our son. Cold breakfast was perfect for us. "Excellent and clean with minimal noise despite the construction. The tub was a little deep compared to the bathroom floor but otherwise it was all amazing. The communal areas were clean and the staff was very helpful in calling cabs and assisting the Uber eats guy with finding me lol. There is a bus stop right down the street that will take you into town. "

We loved having enough room (and bathrooms!) for all I’ve rented a lot of vacation houses over the years and never been in one as well equipped! Everything you could possibly need for cooking was there It’s also walking distance (really) to several good restaurants. Clifden is the perfect location to explore Connemara and Mayo."
