"There's a lot to do around this hotel, as it is situated on a lake (it's Minnesota, so this is probably to be expected). This was convenient to getting to the southeastern side of Voyageurs National Park. The room was adequately comfortable and felt clean. Breakfast begins at 4:00 a.m. which is convenient for hunters, fishing people, and truckers. They serve pizza 24 hrs/day. The staff was friendly."

"We had a wonderful stay at Jarod's place with our family. This was our fourth summer going to a rental cabin on a lake with family ( 2 grandparents, 4 parents and 4 children) and this was our favorite place so far! Spacious home with spaces to gather or have your own space. The kitchen and living area was perfect for cooking and watching the olympics. Large deck with screen porch overlooking the back yard and lake. The backyard was large enough to recreate our own family olympics. The Lake had some weedy spots, but was good for swimming with sandy beach, and easily accessible for all the kiddos, adults and grandparents! It was July hot while we were there, so it took some work to distribute the cool air from the micro-split in the living area to the bedrooms, which stayed warm. That's probably not an issue 51 weeks of the year. We will definitely look to come back!"

"This was the worst VRBO experience I have ever had. The day of my stay I had to message for directions to the cabin. Directions were not sufficient and I had no cell service. I ended up paddling to the cabin (to the “left of the dock” as I was told). It was raining and I couldn’t find the key that was supposed to be under the steps of the deck. I had no cell service and disk was approaching so I had to drive back to town and call. The host didn’t respond to my messages. I called VRBO and they could not reach the host but said since I left the premises they would not find me a place to stay since I “vacated the property” I was alone on a lake, in the rain with no cell service or shelter!!! The following day the owner messaged me and apolgized. Apparently the cabin was across the lake and I should have “pinned” it on my phone for directions (no where did it say to do that) and I had no service. I was at the wrong cabin but didn’t know it. They offered to refund and let me try again next year for free to make up for the ordeal. After a few months I noticed I did not receive a refund and they will not respond to my inquiry. Do not book this property unless you want to lose out on your money."
