A peaceful and picturesque villa, right on the sea minutes from Corfu town. The villa has a private ladder down to the beach, with a jetty and x 2 Double Kayaks and two single Kayaks,plus two paddle boards plus snorkel equipment We also have 2 fishing rods and tackle for the guests to use. You can hire a speed boat by arrangement.The Villa has plenty of outdoor entertaining space with large staggered patios, and shaded dining areas. There is also a Jacuzzi, with sea views. Villa Waves is in an ideal location, halfway between the north and the south of the island, with Corfu town only 6km away. There are a handful of secluded beaches and local villages within easy distance. The closest being Benitses a traditional Greek village boasting a marina, as well as numerous bars, tavernas. Villa Waves now boasts a 80 m2 Roof terrace with Fantastic Sea Views !!! see last season pictures by following us on Instagram.

An amazing house for a perfect vacation!
The house is perfect for a family vacation. It contains everything needed for a great vacation and we didn’t want to leave! Hugh and Daniela are great hosts and enabled us to feel at home for the first minute. The location is also very good, quite close to Corfu town and to great restaurants and tavernas. We will absolutely come back!

Fabulous Villa right on the sea front
The villa was decorated to a very high standard with everything we could wish for, including: paddle boards, kayaks, fishing rods, a boat and a guitar. Our experience was rich and varied from BBQ to hot tub. There was something for everyone. We will definitely be back. Hugh and Daniela were very attentive.

Stunning Villa - Just go!
Villa Waves was spectacular. I’m so glad we booked this place for us and our two teenagers - it has it all! Perfectly located on the water we had such fun with the paddle-boards, kayaks & snorkels. Endless entertainment everyday as well as enjoying the hot tub in the evening time. We didn’t have a car so we used the bus to get around to nearby town’s & restaurants. Daniela & Hugh were super hosts while also providing us with a fab welcome pack of fruit, beers, prosecco and any assistance we needed. The Villa has everything you need for an amazing holiday. There are so many different areas to hang out, play music etc.. everyone really enjoyed it. All back home now and dreaming of another trip sometime to Corfu and Villa Waves! Thanks for a holiday to remember.

My wife and I talked about visiting Corfu from our very first phone call together before we even met face to face. It took us 22 years to finally get there. After careful consideration, we chose Villa Waves to base ourselves for our dream vacation. It was a very good choice. First the property is well described in the listing. It was very well taken care of and equipped with everything we needed during our stay. We were able to cook at the Villa when we wanted using a gas grill and the very well equipped kitchen and when we wanted, were a very short distance to many great places to eat. We decided to rent a car and explore the entire island. We were never much more than an hour drive from even the furthest places, and most were much less than that. In addition, we used the public bus system to go into Corfu town to avoid the need for parking. The bus system is really good and goes almost anywhere you would want to go. It was truly amazing to go swimming right out of the back door and we really enjoyed the Kayaks. Sunrises from the back terrace were awesome as we enjoyed the Nespresso coffee. Hugh and Daniela are truly awesome hosts. They made sure the Villa was well taken care of, checking in on things a few times during our visit. They also were always very quick to answer any questions we had. They even arranged for a great deal on our rental car. We loved every aspect of our stay and do not hesitate to highly recommend it!

Fabulous location right on the water
We had an amazing week in October, the weather was wonderful so we where able to swim every day. It was great to have the paddle boards and the SUP’s. Loved the outdoor areas, there where so many that we could all use an area without being on top of each other. Hot tub was an added bonus and the children loved it. Special mention for Craig who was so helpful and kept us up to date with many things.

A GREAT HOLIDAY VILLA
A wonderfully located, well furnished and well equipped property. On the road from Corfu Town to Benitses, so service by bus made a hire car unnecessary. The owners agent Craig was more than useful when needed. One of the best views from a villa that we can remember.

Villa waves is perfect! The views are absolutely stunning, you won’t believe how good! There is loads to do in Corfu, beaches are gorgeous, food is lovely & people are friendly. Dear Hugh & Daniela, Thank you so much for allowing me to stay at the property to test drive the villa for my families next summer's holiday to Corfu in May 2021 - we want to book it for a whole month please...I did not want to leave! The proper is finished to a very high standard that you just can't find elsewhere on the island it truly is the ultimate Mediterranean oasis with lots of attention to detail, high specification furniture, well-manicured gardens, an abundance of outdoor space, and designed with tranquillity and privacy at the same time. Occupying a spectacular, rare and 'true' waterfront position with unparalleled 180-degree view of the Ionian Sea and neighbouring Albania coastline views. The crystal-clear waters of the deep blue Ionian Sea are right on your doorstep and it’s shallow and calm so perfect for children, paddle boards and kayaks. Set over 4 levels there is so much space! The indoors and outdoors blend seamlessly with a stunning well-kept Mediterranean garden and of course the hot tub! Just magic to enjoy this in the evenings as the weather cools down and the sun begins to set. Hugh & Daniela were incredibly helpful, friendly and offered a multitude of options and special services if you require them (massages / in house chef / car & boat hire etc. – like a true concierge service). I really can't wait to bring the whole family next year. For someone who is incredibly spoilt when it comes to travel and a frequent user of all the private rental sites this is by far the best beach property I have ever stayed at. Comfortable sea front villa
Comfortable villa with a well tended garden right on the waters edge. We loved having an early morning dip, and had fun using the paddle boards and kayaks. We also hired a boat for 2 days. It is a short drive to Benitses and atmospheric Corfu Town both having plenty of places to eat, sadly the villa is right on the busy coastal road which is dangerous to walk along, however you can not hear the traffic inside and the six of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Birthday celebrations with the family
My family ages range from 26 - 60 and we all equally enjoyed the appropriately named Villa Waves! From the stunning views/pebble beach at our feet/twinkly lit hot tub, jetty/kayaks/snorkel gear/body boards/and beautiful roof top terrace (with my favourite hammock ) we were all satisfied. It is semi detached but the lovely neighbour was very friendly. There are quite a few steep steps around the property so it would be something to consider for anyone with mobility issues. We hired a minibus from a friendly efficient company recommended by Hugh which was worth doing to explore the Island, also the motor boat for the day which was great fun. As mentioned in other reviews there is quite a bit of traffic noise from the busy dangerous road above the villa, but it didn't spoil our experience or put us off from returning, and we really enjoyed the plane spotting! We made good use of the barbeque too and the kitchen was very well equipped. Beds were all very comfortable and clean and the aircon was great! We didnt use the TV but there is an excellent selection of DVDs to suit all. There are plenty of supermarkets within 5/10 minute drive away, and Benitses 10 minutes and Corfu town 20 minutes. Only suggestion for improvement would be sunlounger pads for roof terrace and a bit extra screening from the road, but we have made some really special memories at Villa Waves !!🇬🇷❤😎🥂

Villa waves
We had a fantastic week at Villa waves! The view is amazing. Just a walk down the steps and your in the sea. The kids really enjoyed learning to paddle board and using the kayaks! The beach wasn’t that busy even in August! The air con was much needed and kept us cool off n 37+ temperatures. The roof terrace is a cool place to relax at night and the jacuzzi is refreshing relief from the heat! The road is very busy but we got used to the noise and managed to walk the kids to the local taverna without any issues. The downstairs rooms are perfect for teenagers, giving them and us our own space. The twin room is ideal for younger kids. Unfortunately the boat wasn’t available due to issues with the engine but Ivor managed to negotiate a good price from the local rental place, however there are restrictions on where you can take a rental boat. Great holiday, thank you for letting us stay at Villa Waves!

Lovely villa right on the waterfront with wonderful views
This is a lovely villa situated on the waterfront with beautiful views across the sea. As mentioned in previous reviews the road outside is extremely dangerous and at night even worse. We are a family with teenagers so I felt ok but I would not like to have experienced this with young children. We enjoyed the kayaks every day it was a shame that the single kayak was no longer available as it meant we could not go out together. The paddle boat is also no longer available. The children spent many hours snorkelling in the beautiful clear waters. The air conditioning was a welcome relief as it was very hot. The beach was fairly busy every day with people coming and going but we rather enjoyed the people watching. I’m not sure if the jetty shown in the photos is private but people used it constantly so we struggled to be able to use it on some days. The electric ladders are a novel way of getting down to the beach but again I would be worried about these if I had young children, and the wire hanging down to raise and lower them is very sharp so be careful. We were unable to eat outside in the evenings due to being plagued by wasps so we think there is a nest nearby. However the local tavernas were cheap and served an excellent variety of food catering well for all of our tastes. We enjoyed using the hot tub which kept us cool in the heat of the day. There was a problem with it whilst we were staying but it was quickly sorted by Hugh. Overall we had a lovely holiday and thoroughly enjoyed waking up to a wonderful sunrise every morning. You would be hard pushed to find these views in many places.

The Complete Package
A well equipped villa right on the water that allowed our family of 5 to chill out and relax with the feeling of a 5* resort.. Direct access to the beach that seemed to be ours exclusively allowed us to swim easily 2-3 times a day - or use the long boards and kayaks supplied. Air conditioned bedrooms gave comfort at night and a complete library, WiFi and excellent TV setup allowed us to still be connected to home. Benitses is only 5 minutes away with great restaurants and bars for evenings. The only watch out is to take extra care on the road outside as there are some blind spots for the pedestrian traffic and no parking directly outside the villa.

Fantastic week in Corfu
A well appointed, spacious villa providing really comfortable accommodation with great outdoor space. As described by others there is noise from a main road and the planes, but this is more than offset by the rear of the house which faces a small pebble beach and a beautiful ocean, which for most of the time was only used by us.

A little slice of paradise
Love Villa Waves - right on the sea with our own access to the beach down a ladder, what could be more idyllic. So much outdoor and indoor space that there is always somewhere to be to enjoy the wonderful views. The colour of the sea around Waves is quite wonderful- turquoise and azure. Beautiful!
We arrived in the pouring rain and got soaked getting our bags down the steps to the villa, but when we saw the amazing sunrise over the sea the next morning we knew we'd made a brilliant decision in choosing this holiday! Whether you want to relax on one of the three beautiful terraces/balconies, hunt for fish & crabs with the kids in the crystal clear sea down the private steps from the villa, or take a kayak out and paddle along the beautiful coast, this villa offers everything. It's only 10mins drive from the airport, but don't let the proximity worry you - the planes fly out over the water and only once an hour (if that). It's also really close to the very pretty Corfu Old Town and only 30mins from beautiful - but empty - beaches on the West of the island. We found the nicest beaches around Palaiokastritsa and Kassiopi (about an hour away), but there are so many amazing places on this island and the villa is in a great location to visit them all.

Heavenly, perfect & peaceful
Just back from our best ever week away. We made a big mistake in not booking for longer, as we were not ready to leave. The villa is beautiful, lots of outdoor space and always one of the terraces offering sun or shade depending on preference. The ladder down to the sea just makes it extra special and out of the ordinary. 6 of us with different requirements, from teenaged to considerably older, were all kept happy as you could swim, snorkel, paddle or snooze in the sun as you preferred. The snorkelling was the highlight for me, and I saw a huge number of different fish, cuttlefish, octopus, anemones etc - crystal clear water 20 seconds from your bedroom door! It was also close enough to Corfu Town that we could visit easily for sight seeing, shopping and drinks. The road outside was hairy, but this would be the case wherever you were in Corfu, and just required a little attention. Previous people have mentioned the planes, but this did not disturb us at all - they are not so loud or frequent to ruin the peace, and we actually enjoyed watching them coming and going and quite turned into plane spotters! Finally - have to mention the incredible sunrises every morning. I’m not a morning person but they were so enticing, with the sun coming up from the sea almost in touching distance , I was up before the sun most days. All in all - just perfect! We have to go again!

An island idyll
Corfu in May is beautiful, Villa Waves in May is a treat for the senses. The Villa Waves has everything you need for a successful family holiday; there is plenty of outdoor space for everyone to do their thing during the day - and there are certainly plenty of things to keep them busy - the young adults loved the paddle boards and kayaks (cruising up and down the coastline) while others enjoyed the spectacular views from the terrace, whiling away the hours swinging in the hammock or reading in the shade. We were very fortunate with the weather - sunny and in the high 20s. A car is essential to get around (although you could go to various seaside tavernas in the kayaks). In Benitses we enjoyed eating at Mezza Luna, very friendly service and great fresh food. A drive up to the Achillion Palace is a must - the statue of Achilles is awesome. We also took a taxi into Corfu Town late afternoon and watched the sunset from The Cavilieri Hotel’s roof terrace drinking spectacular cocktails. I can not recommend Villa Waves enough - the clear aquamarine sea with the sun sparkling off it, it is uplifting and relaxing. Everyone felt very quickly at ease. Sleeping with the sound of the sea lapping on the shore is a real treat. We were treated to a trip out in the Villa’s boat as, being early in the season, it was still being sea-tested. The boat trip was thrilling and I feel sure that when we return next year we would like to hire the boat for a day or two and enjoy exploring. Corfu is a sea-faring nation and best enjoyed for the sea. Many thanks to Hugh for a memorable holiday. We’ll be back.

Greek Paradise
Idyllic location, the clear water is perfect and the views were breathtaking. We spent the week kayaking and paddle boarding and the night watching films from the large DVD collection. It’s the perfect place for a private getaway with the option to go and explore if you wish. The bus journey to town wasn’t too hard and all of the locals were lovely. The terrace area is perfect for a nice rest with a glass of wine, we also watched an incredible storm from there. I am definitely going back next year, really didn’t want to leave!

We all loved staying at this amazing villa, the place felt very homely and the view was amazing. We made full use of the boats which was the tick for me when we were looking for a place to stay. Only negative was the parking and the road. We will be back that's for sure.

Lovely waterfront location
Stayed for 9 days and had a great time. However there were downs as well as ups. The villa was clean tidy and well equipped but we would have liked at least a change of towels if not bedding. The waterfront location is just so lovely and private but you are on the flight path to the airport and the planes are low and loud. The sun deck on the roof is spacious, comfortable with lovely views of the coast. However there is a busy road adjacent to the villa and you get loud and smelly road noise as well as landing planes. Shade is also limited. The villa is located a couple of miles from benitses which was once a major resort but now is a little tired but does have some nice bars and restaurants. You can walk if you want but the main road does not have a pavement and drivers are...well!.. We took a cab BUT beware. The cars are mostly brand new mercedes because should you wish to use them you get robbed by the driver. 10 euros for a 2 mile trip... really. Anyway. Overall This is a nice villa with seafront location and would recommend as long as you are happy with my comments above.

Heaven on the sea
Villa Waves provides all it promises - it really is right on the sea, literally lower the ladder and you are on the beach - which we had to ourselves practically every day. In the main bedroom and the lower apartment you can actually hear the sea as you drift off to sleep. The kitchen is well equipped, plus there is an outside barbecue, so it is easy to cater for groups small or large. There is also ample choice of where to eat, all of which have sea views. The sunrise is stunning and we found it easy to wake for it. Being so close to the sea we all felt very well and wound down quickly from busy lives. The two kayaks were used extensively throughout our three weeks there, as was the jacuzzi. There really is so much to entertain, or if you want to bob about on crystal clear sea then that too is available. I would say you would need a car if you wanted to go,into Benitses although there did seem to be quite regular buses going up,and down. Benitses is much quieter than it was in the 80s and 90s but despite the earlier tourist invasion it has retained a lot of its earlier charm. The old village is well worth a visit. Overwhelming we found everyone we met to be genuinely friendly and helpful. We travelled around the south of the island it is is beautiful. Apparently, in the 14th century the islanders were paid 10 gold ducats to plant a hundred olive trees. There are thought to,be 3,000,000 million trees across the island. Any problems that arose were swiftly dealt with. I would highly recommend Villa Waves to all - in fact we have already booked to return next year.
