We welcome you to Frenchy's Forest Lodge. If you're looking for a quiet, secluded, and relaxing getaway- look no further.

We are honored to open our home to you and are confident you will love it just as much as we do. We have put a lot of thought and effort into our cabin ensuring it will be the perfect destination. Our property is uniquely private surrounded by woods perfect for bird watching, sightseeing, stargazing under a bonfire, turkey hunting, and more! A true 'Cabin in the Woods' experience, but you'll do anything but "rough it" here with our pristinely clean home, including all of the modern amenities.

Our Lodge is big enough to sleep 11 yet cozy enough to be enjoyed by 2. We have taken special measures to provide adequate space for everyone with large closets, spacious bedrooms, a large, finished basement, dining for everybody, and a beautiful open concept layout that allows everyone to feel at ease. Our spacious kitchen is fully stocked with items ranging from a pizza cutter to a crockpot, and everything in between; it's100% ready for family gatherings.

Frenchy's Forest Lodge is located 10 minutes from Downtown Escanaba, 3 minutes from the Rusty Rail Bar & Grill, 50 miles from Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, day trips to endless waterfalls, minutes from kayaking, hiking, ATV/Snowmobile trails, and more.

This is truly a place to enjoy all four seasons.

Summer

We loved staying in the cabin! It was rustic and beautifully furnished and decorated. The quiet and scenic property was a pleasure to wake up to. It was about 15 minutes to Escanaba or Gladstone. There were 3 TVs, and had good Wi-Fi. We saw turkeys, deer, 4 different squirrels, and a bear from a distance. I highly recommend this cabin!

Fantastic Family Vacation
This is a lovely, spacious, warm home with everything we needed. The property is secluded and yet easily accessible. We hiked, had campfires, watched meteor showers, and had a fabulous time. Highly recommend!

Great place in the woods!
What a great place to get away from it all and just relax. Great place with plenty of room and wildlife outside. Only recommendation to other bookings, follow the directions to the place from the host, do not use GPS to get to the cabin. Thank you again for a great stay!

Amazing Vacation
The property was amazing. So clean and cozy. If was big enough for our large family and the grounds were amazing. The owner was nice enough to show us his quarry and drilled holes for us to ice fishing. It was amazing will be coming back.

This cute cabin is set in the middle of a very private wooded area. The hosts were extremely nice and helpful. It is also close enough to town for quick trips. It is a little confusing finding the place but we'll worth the trip.

Eccellent communication with owner, helped us in everyway because we had a hard time finding it due to poor cell service. Very clean log can in the woods.Would definetly stay there again. Internet was down but we didnt care because we were there to get away from it.

The property was a bit tricky to find, however, once there it was wonderful! Huge fire pit, plenty of sleeping room and kitchen was fully stocked with pans, basic spices, and dishes. Owners/managers are easy to work with and very timely in any responses. Cabin was clean. We already booked our next trip!

Amazing and Secluded
It was just what we were looking for! We came to see the sights and fall colors and the best colors were actually at the cabin. We enjoyed time there and were able to keep all three kids as well as the adults entertained on the day we had starting late due to rain. The cabin was the cleanest place that we have rented. Dave and Mary were very responsive and on top of everything!

Up North Cabin with all Amenities!
Booked for a friends and family weekend! 4 adults and 5 kiddos under 5 yrs old. The cabin is spacious for large groups with great hiking in the area. We loved the bonfire set up and how relaxing the living room was. Bummed that mother nature didn't have snow in February but I'd imagine that this place would be GREAT for snow adventures and hunting!

Hunting getaway
Dave and Mary are the best people to work with to make your vacation special!!!! The cabin is beyond beautiful and is set up extremely well for what ever you want to do. The location is perfect to enjoy the wilderness and only being 15 min. From town is a huge bonus. There is a ton of wildlife to watch which is why we came back again and will return next year! Dave and Mary are the perfect owners to take care of your ultimate vacation and build family memories! Thank you Dave and Mary, we will see you again soon!

Amazing property
Overall fantastic lodgings. Clean, roomy, secluded. Gorgeous location. Only room for improvement would be correct address on listing. We got in to town late and finding it in the dark wasn't easy since we went to the wrong address(the one listed on VRBO). I was sent the correct address by the property owner but didn't realize at first that they differed. Would definitely recommend this property to others staying in the area.

2 sisters had difficulty finding the place; daughters/hubbies had no problem. Saw deer and turkeys almost daily. Lots of mosquitoes, but still well worth it. Would have loved a dishwasher; but I made each group of relatives wash dishes so it wasn't always me!

Great family Yooper getaway
We had 10 adults and one grand baby and the house handled us all with ease. A little challenging to find initially but the seclusion is delightful. The house is well furnished inside and outside. Only complaint is lack of airflow in main floor dining family room as huge windows face west and get a lot of afternoon sun and we made all our meals using the oven which only added to the heat. Always cooled off overnight. Would definitely stay here again!

Nostalgic Woods Fairytale
The cabin is beautifully done, well built and full of character. You can tell a lot of love went into creating this cabin. Driving up to it, it feels like you are entering a fairytale that is far away from reality. It exudes an atmosphere that allows you to unwind and enjoy the moment. The family was quite comfortable and there were plenty of places to relax and enjoy the variety of spaces. The huge window on the main floor provided lots of viewing of wildlife like deer and turkey. The best part was the priceless memories made with family around the table laughing and enjoying each other. Thank you for a wonderful stay, Mary!

Dream Cabin in the Woods
The cabin is very secluded if you're looking to get away for a trip. Very close to public land for hunting, bird hunting, and close to the bay where you only have to drive 10-15 minutes to fish. Beautiful log cabin that can accommodate plenty of people. We got a snow storm the 2nd day of our trip which dumped 10" of snow on the long driveway. The owners of this cabin were very quick to respond and came and plowed out the driveway. I had consistent communication with them the entire time for anything I had questions on or needed - they even answered the phone when I called them checking in at midnight (I apologize deeply for that). If you want a place that is beautiful, secluded, and want no worries - this is the place by Gladstone, MI.

The best cabin you will find!!!!
The Cabin was amazing! It was so clean and well prepped and stocked with everything you would need to spend a week with comfort! The location is one that is secluded and also 10 minutes to town! Abundant wild life to watch all day long, deer, rabbits, and coyotes. The heating at this time was outstanding, had floor heat and it was -11 outside and was perfect! They also have a bonfire area out back of the cabin which was amazing! It brought back so many memories from our childhood. Mary and David could not have made our stay any better if they tried! Absolutely no worries for the entire week, thanks to their beautiful cabin. Truly shows when you drive up how much pride they take in owning this beautiful cabin. Thank you so much, I would recommend this place to everyone I talk to! You will not be disappointed.
