Great View
We really enjoyed our stay! The location was awesome and the neighborhood is great! Only one issue with some of the lighting but maintenance was out very quickly and had it repaired. I would definitely recommend this property for a group looking to literally be right on the beach.

Excellent location and neighborhood but house needs help.
First off, the location is amazing. Having golf cart access on the board walk was a huge plus. The pool area and hot tub at the main entrance was great considering the hot tub advertised at the house was full of sand and water line under the first row of jets. The banister to the 2nd level outside was broken. I submitted a fix it claim on the app for hospitality but never received any feedback. The 5th bedroom is BEYOND confusing to find. It would be extremely helpful to say there is a key hanging for 5th bedroom at this location in the check in notes. The queen bed on the 3rd floor is like sleeping on a table. A simple mattress topper would make all the difference in the world. Bring your own pillows. The pillows have a plastic pillow case on them and are horrible. The living room furniture is not comfortable at all. There is no cable and we were there during football season so I had to stream from my own phone and provider. The dryer does not work at all. And the washer hardly rinses. Bring plenty of clothes knowing you won’t be washing there. We packed light and were sadly mistaken. Not having access to the 3rd floor balcony except going through the master bedroom and outside stair case was ridiculous. Especially having rented due to family members not being able to use stairs and there being an elevator in the unit. We never used the 3rd floor balcony with the amazing views even though there is a door, you just can’t use it. For paying $4000 for our stay, it needs help.

The property was in a great location. Large enough for 3 generations to spread out. Really enjoyed our stay. Only negative thing was the bottom bedroom did not have a shower as it is only a half bath. All agreed in our party that they would stay there again.

Disappointing - listing is not accurate to actual conditions
The location is awesome, but the condition of the property was not at all accurate per the listing. It’s not a 5 bedroom, at least not 5 bedrooms renters can access. The furniture and appliances are all very tired and don’t work well. Refrigerator sounds like a Jack hammer when it comes on. The hot tub did not work and that was the primary search criteria when we booked this a year in advanced. Stunning views but had we had all our family show up as planned we would not have fit. No working cable TV in the Master, only a DVD Player. Only 1 of the 6 ceiling speakers in the living room worked. Definitely NOT worth the price when there are 5 other houses in the same neighborhood of comparable size and all pet friendly. We still had a fun family Christmas but the condition of this property was disappointing.

Potential but need work
First and foremost, we love the location and the view and the place really could be great and worth the money if you would fix the things that are really wrong with it. 1. It was quite dirty. We know it is the beach, but there was sand everywhere when we arrived, when it should have been the cleanest. Windows were filthy. We know the outside upper windows are hard to reach, but even the 1st floor windows were filthy. We also had quite a spider/bug/roach problem. 2. The hot tub is in horrible condition and we were never able to get it to heat up. 3. 3rd floor bedroom ceiling fan did not work. 4. Dishwasher had water spray rotor was laying in the bottom of the dishwasher. We did not use it until the last day. 4. Coffee maker was incredibly slow. 5. The refrigerator made a strange noise every time the door was open and froze a lot of the food. 6. 3rd floor bathroom hand towel rack was broken and under the sink. 7. The stair handrail at the top was not repaired to code, and you could be liable for any accidents. 8. Master bedroom lock would not lock. 9. The stopper in the tub was broken (sitting on window sill and could not be put in), making the tub unusable. 10. Drawers on bottom of bunk beds were in poor shape and could not open all of them. 11. Queen bed on 2nd floor was broken-the frame. 12. The lock/knob on the bottom floor bedroom was so rusted and was falling out of the door. 13. The faucet in bottom floor bathroom and very little water coming out. 14. Bottom floor bedroom ceiling fan bulbs were all out and the floor lamp flickered a great deal. 15. Door from 2nd floor master bedroom to patio was so difficult (wouldn’t slide) to open and shut it couldn’t be used. I hate that I have to write this, but it was really not up to the standard or description of the property and since I had to pay over $200 cleaning fee, I would hope that it would be reasonably clean. I really hope you take this information and fix the place so that it can be spectacular. It has such potential and such a great location and view. Also wanted to mention if someone falls and is injured on the stairway because of broken bannister, you could be sued.

The property location absolutely cannot be beat! The views and proximity to the beach are what made us rent this house a 2nd year. Minor maintenance issues exist but no different from any high turnover property- and they address issues same day. Beautiful place for us and our adult children to vacation.

Good Stay but house needs TLC
Great location, beautiful views. House was clean but has maintenance issues (pealing paint AC vents, ceiling fan not working, loose hand rails etc). Biggest disappointment was the outdoor furniture which is very uncomfortable and in disrepair. The view off the balcony is great, but poor furniture made it difficult to enjoy. We had a couple of issue during our stay, but the property managers we very responsive in resolving.

This was our first trip to Corpus Christi and the home was wonderful! It was perfect for our family. The views were to die for and it was a short walk to the ocean. The home was clean but could use a few small fixes (stairway handrail-third floor patio door-TV's didn't work due to parts being stolen). Tracy was amazing and quick to reply when we couldn't figure out the TV situation (it was raining!) We HIGHLY recommend this home. We made memories that will last a lifetime!!

Beautiful house with great views of the water! Convenient access to the boardwalk that puts you right on the beach! Spacious yet homey we enjoyed our stay. Be mindful of the stairs - 3 floors, lots of steps! Didn’t mind the exercise but could be an issue for anyone that may struggle going up and down stairs (including any furry friends!). Highly recommend.

This house was perfect for our family and dogs. The main room is bright and open. Lots of windows. Warning you need to be able to climb stairs. The elevator was not available to us. VERY MISLEADING LISTING
Upon arrival we came in and got ready to settle in, unit was quite warm checked thermostat and the ac filters…. filters were all very clogged/dirty as was the unit itself (food on dishes and silverware) and hot tub was very dirty. After a 8 hr drive, grocery store came back to make dinner and the two hand can openers wouldn’t work as they are both stripped and the unit is not well equipped with anything. After dinner we try to settle in and relax with some tv and none of the TVs in the unit worked. I called multiple times to talk with management and was told maintenance would replace filters, but someone else would have to come for the hot tub and didn’t know when it would be, same goes for Spectrum for the TVs. For the money my family and I spent on this unit for our annual family vacation this was very very disappointing!! Please read the reviews for this place before renting, we’ve been a VRBO customer for over 15 years and this is my very first bad review. I don’t want another family to have to endure this or the out of pocket money, had this unit been taken proper care of and maintained better I believe our experience would of been much different . The views were nice from the unit.

Our vacation stay
This home was a beautiful getaway for our group of seven. It had a spectacular view of the beach from two levels of the home, had fun beach decor throughout, was stocked with plenty of kitchen utensils, and was only minutes away from shopping/dining. We’d definitely return for another stay! We did run into a few issues though. The air conditioner wasn’t working upon arrival so we called maintenance (they came the next morning, were very nice, and got it running but the bedrooms never really seemed to cool down so we kept the fans running). The hot tub was only half filled and with greenish/sandy water. Maintenance advised someone is to come clean it and apparently hadn’t. He added water and chemicals but it never cleared up (and nobody showed up to clean it) so the hot tub part was a disappointment. There was some unexplained loud banging noise near the master bedroom roof one evening causing lack of sleep (never figured out the cause). There’s a bedroom that is downstairs and doesn’t have access to the rest of the home without going thru the back patio (or thru the bathroom door). We ran into a safety issue because we had kids in that room and couldn’t lock the patio door at night so the kids would have access to come into the main house if they needed to. So we had to choose to either lock the house and have the kids call us if they needed something, or leave the house unlocked (but if someone at night decided to come onto the patio they could get in the house). Maintenance looked at in and said there was nothing they could do.

Not bad for a Pandemic
Overall, pretty good. It was obvious that the exterior suffered some damage from the recent hurricane but the unit is still a good value. The property has nice amenities like a very good kitchen and showers. One watch out was the hordes of mosquitoes near the back of the property; they will eat you alive without bug spray. Very comfortable place and A/C worked fine. I thought the proximity to the RV folks would be awkward but they were great and everyone was nice. The notices inside the unit were different from what the property management folks provided which caused confusion with the trash but worked out after a quick note. The elevator was a real back saver for a 3 story house especially when packing in and packing out. The ice maker is not functional but the RV office sells 20 lb bags. Pet friendly, we would come back here again for sure. Note that the one bedroom on first floor is separate. Worth the rate. Sad they had a beach curfew at 8:30 pm, but you take what you can get during a pandemic

Hurricane Hanna
This was a celebration for my daughter’s Naval Winging Ceremony (from flight school in Corpus Christi). I made my reservation early Spring. Due to COVID, I didn’t know if we’d have to cancel. We went and decided to make the best of it. Our stay was cut short by Hurricane Hanna. The majority of our party left a day early, My daughter & I had to ride out the hurricane. Not one person reached out to us to give us guidance or check on us or the house. I was double charged on fees. I was charged much more than the going rate due to Covid reductions. When I reached out for help, I’ve been passed around. I found both VRBO and the staff at the rental facility very unhelpful. The house was dirty! The minute you went barefoot in it, your feet were black. The furniture is badly worn inside and out. You definitely pay for the view and location on the beach. Those are beautiful. Other than that not worth the money at all.

The property was great. Our only complaint was the door from the living area to the deck on the 3rd floor....the wind would catch it and make it tough to close. Based on the condition of the door and hinges, this has been going on for some time. Other than the door/wind thing, the property was great. I would highly recommend it.

Just ok beachfront located in RV park
Let's start with the positive. The view is fantastic and you are right by the beach. Check in with property management was easy. Now for the negative. As other reviews mentioned, the hot tub is unusable. Not only is there sand in it (I can get past that since you are right by a beach) but the water did not look like it was replaced or circulated and looked and smelled weird. We did not even want to risk using it. The property inside smelled musty, as if there was water damage at some point. The house itself is nice and it's cool it has an elevator in it, but it's in need of some maintenance. Our biggest issue we had with the house is that it is located in an RV park (we just did not realize that) while we rented a private house for the privacy and thought it was just a cluster of homes. If that does not bother you, this might be for you but it was a total turn off for us. Just too many people. Sorry but besides the view, this property is not worth the price you pay per night at all.

The house was nice, but not new. The 4 upstairs bedrooms were great, but the bottom floor bedroom had lots of cockroaches and the hot tub was dirty. The view from upstairs is awesome and the location is hard to beat. The elevator was helpful for the older people in the group. Overall the stay was great, just use the pool at the park and avoid the bottom floor.

Beautiful home with great access to the beach. Spacious kitchen and living room area with two wonderful decks facing the ocean. Elevator is helpful when checking in/out. Master suite is awesome. The one negative we have for the home is the bed in the 3rd floor bedroom. Mattress and box spring need to be updated. Bed is squeaky and uncomfortable. Also, door knob to 1st floor bedroom leading to deck is jambed and door cannot open. For PortA Escapes, you need to do a better job communicating info on the home like where to find it within Gulf Waters and how to use elevator.
