nice little flt with proper bthroom, terrsse, over the 14 dys it ws good resort to come down, to cook, to sleep well - but unfortuntly there re lot of dogs round which re brking for hours in the night.

Nous avons séjourné une semaine à Terontola Alta Un endroit stratégique qui se situe au centre de nombreux points d'intérêts et proche du superbe lac de Trasimeno. Nous étions logés dans une jolie petite maison confortable, bien équipée et très très bien entretenue, nichée dans dans les oliviers. Cette maison possède plusieurs terrasses avec table à manger, salon de jardin, chaises longues. C'est vraiment un très bel endroit. Nous avons été chaleureusement accueillis par Martine et Estelle. Estelle a été notre interlocutrice principale durant notre séjour pour sa générosité, sa disponibilité

Gemütliches Ferienhaus in schöner, günstiger Lage
Ein gemütliches Ferienhaus in schöner, ruhiger Lage. Mit allem, was man für einen angenehmen Urlaub braucht (und bei kühlem Wetter beheizbar, ohne Zusatzkosten!). Die Vermieterinnen sind sehr freundlich und unkompliziert. Die schöne, private Terrasse ist zur Hälfte überdacht und geht in einen kleinen Garten über, von dem man bei gutem Wetter den Sonnenuntergang über dem Val di Chiana genießen kann. Und wenn man die Straße ein kurzes Stück bergauf geht, hat man einen weiten Blick übers Land und den Traseminer See. Ca. 2 km entfernt liegt der Bahnhof Terontola (kostenfreie Parkplätze) - ideal für Besuche in Perugia, Assisi, Orvieto, Arezzo bis Florenz und Rom.

Wir waren nur eine Woche dort, aber es hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Man ist sehr schnell am See und mit dem Hund kann man auch gut laufen.

Tutto perfetto!
L’appartamento è ben attrezzato e pulito, lo spazio esterno con il barbecue è la chicca di questo appartamento. Si trova in mezzo alla natura proprio per una vacanza in totale tranquillità e a 20 minuti per Cortona che è una città davvero bella e suggestiva. Paolina e le loro figlie sono state davvero squisite, lo consiglio vivamente se abbiamo l’occasione di tornare in Toscana soggiorneremo di nuovo qui.

Vacanza perfetta
Una splendida vacanza la casa e' perfetta per una coppia come noi che ha anche un piccolo cane che puo' gironzolare all'aperto nel giardino. Posizione tra gli uliveti molto "nature";abbiamo avuto anche la visita di un capriolo;molto cordiali le signore Martine e Stella e soprattutto Paolina con cui abbiamo scambiato una lunga e simpatica chiaccherata. Speriamo di poterci ritornare.

Relaxing week in southern Tuscany
The house was an ideal location for visiting southern Tuscany and lago Trasimeno (strictly in Umbria...). It is comfortable and has everything you need for a relaxing stay. Check in was easy... Paolina provided exact GPS co-ordinates and finding the house was straightforward - we were met by Estelle and were soon settled in and sat in the terrace with a glass of wine. During the week we walked in the hills above Cortona, around Chiusure in the val d'Orcia and these were lovely, but because the weather was so good - it was very warm walking! Sightseeing we stayed fairly close to home; Cortona, Arezzo and Montepulciano and doubtless missed many other fine places nearby. We drove around lago Trasimeno and enjoyed Castiglione del Lago (excellent truffle omelette for lunch) and Passignano sul Trasimeni (fine aperitivos overlooking the lake). We ate in Cortona at the Osteria del Teatro (twice) and the Trattoria Toscana. The cooking at the Osteria is doubtless finer but the grilled veal chop at the trattoria will live on in my memory for a long time! We were lucky with the weather and were able to spend most of our time at the house relaxing on the terrace - we BBQ'd twice and were able to eat outside the whole week. All in all, this was a splendid week in a relaxing house... we enjoyed it very much.

Traumaufenthalt
Partir a été un crève-coeur ! Nous avons partagé tous les quatre l'impression de quitter notre famille italienne, la maison de famille et des lieux que nous aurions toujours connus. La Toscane est belle, certes et c'est pour cela que nous y sommes venus. Mais être reçus avec beaucoup de chaleur par Martine, Estelle et leur maman, être gâtés par les cadeaux gourmands d'Estelle et par ses conseils pour aller dans des endroits magiques que les touristes ne peuvent pas connaître, vivre dans une maison meublée avec beaucoup de goût où le passé est si présent (alors que la maison offre par ailleurs tout l'équipement le plus moderne et le plus pratique), jouir d'un calme absolu, au milieu des pins et des oliviers et être près de toutes les commodités, tout cela a fait de notre séjour un "Traumaufenthalt". Et "si les petits cochons ne nous mangent pas".... nous avons la certitude de revenir !

A brilliant retreat amongst the hills and towns of Tuscany and Umbria
We stayed for 3 months in this property, to write. Chosen for its location and facilities, it has has been a resounding success. The house is spacious and traditional, with plenty of homely touches, and our hosts were the most welcoming and kind. Within less than an hour's drive there are literally dozens of hill towns to visit (like Montepulciano, Perugia, Assisi, etc., etc.), and the railway in the nearby village meant we could take the train to Florence, Orvietto and Rome. 10 minutes away is a most beautiful town, Cortona (made famous by Frances Mayes' book and film "Under the Tuscan Sun" and who we bumped in to in Cortona!), with plenty of cafes and restaurants to choose from. Down below Cortona is Carmucia with its market and shops. The nearest village is Terontola, 3 minutes away, which has a weekly market as well as supermarkets, post office, railway station, hairdresser (Marco the barber is highly recommended!). In the other direction 10 minutes away is Castiglione del Lago - a beautiful fortified hill town and a great place to take walks along the lake (Trasimeno), eat out or take an aperitif. Every weekend when we were not working was a new adventure. The house is located in the south-west facing hill, surrounded by olive groves, and receives the afternoon sun (we worked outside in the sun until early November!). From the house you can see the valley, the lake (Trasimeno) and Montpulciano in the distance. One of our hosts, Estelle, lives next door and is so kind and helpful - you can ask her for anything - and Martine and Emilio will come round to check or to fix anything. They set up fast internet access, baked cakes, fixed a dripping shower, brought a Christmas tree, provided logs for the fireplace, advised on where to go and what to see, etc. We couldn't have asked for more, and they have become friends - we miss them already and we hope to visit again soon! We had friends and family come for short stays, and the house was perfect for that - it very easily accommodated 4 people and could have taken 6. It has a comfortable living space with fireplace, a dining area for 6, a study corner, a kitchenette, two showers and two WCs, two double bedrooms, and an annex with larder area, second fridge, washing machine and clothes line/drying area. Outside there are two terraces (one catching the morning sun, the other for the evening), a covered area in the afternoon sun, and a fenced off gravelled area (great for our dog). We loved it!

Eccellente casa vacanze
Splendido! Proprietari molto gentili. Un luogo perfetto e molto tranquillo. Casa molto pulita con molti spazi utilizzabili, cucina ottimamente dotata. Il giardino con tavolo e comode sedie a sdraio perfettamente ombreggiate da pino ed ulivi. Ci siamo trovati benissimo anche grazie alla grande disponibilità, generosità e simpatia dei proprietari.

Que la Toscane est belle
15 jours formidables à deux couples. Superbe endroit au calme retiré de la circulation. Très belle villa,propre et superbe. Les propriétaires sont très gentils, elles nous ont réservé un accueil très chaleureux et professionnel . Séjour très agréable dans cette villa ancienne, bien équipée et très bien entretenue. Très bonne situation pour le tourisme. La propriétaire Pauline et sa fille Estelle ont été très prévenante et disponible à tous moments. Les repas sur la terrasse nous ont fait un grand bien surtout le soir au retour de nos visites dans la Région. Estelle et sa soeur Martine nous ont donné beaucoup de renseignements sur tous les beaux endroits à visiter en Toscane. Merci à Pauline, Estelle, Martine, à Florelle et son mari pour nous avoir trouvé un dentiste dans des délais inimaginables et nous avoir permis de passer de superbes vacances. Un gros Poutous toulousain à toutes.

Un petit paradis au coeur de la Toscane +++
Nous avons passé une semaine de vacances idyllique au coeur de cette très belle région qu'est la Toscane. Tout d'abord, l'accueil de Paolina, Estelle et Martine est tout simplement parfait; à la fois présentes pour nous conseiller sur les visites incontournables ou nous renseigner sur les commodités et chaleureuses sans être envahissantes. Nous avons tout particulièrement apprécié ce petit café pris ensemble le soir de notre départ où nous avons partager les souvenirs de Paolina ;) En ce qui concerne la maison en elle-même, son cadre est magnifique : au coeur des oliviers. Tout y est mignon : son petit jardin ensoleillé et préservé du bruit de la route et des regards, sa terrasse pour les petits déj. et les repas, l'intérieur entretenu et où rien ne manque pour que vous passiez un séjour sans souci : barbecue, transats, climatisation, moustiquaires, machine à laver ... EN un mot, nous vous conseillons vivement cette location à la lisière de la Toscane et de l'Ombrie qui vous offrira un point de départ idéal pour visiter la région. A réserver les yeux fermés !

Excellentes vacances, location impeccable
Nous avons passé 2 semaines dans cette maison et nous avons été absolument enchantés, tant par la location en elle-même (repos!) que par les alentours, les services à proximité (bus, location, gare etc.) et enfin et surtout l'accueil sur place. La maison est en très bon état, très bien équipée et fonctionnelle, et très propre. Le jardin est bien ensoleillé et idéal pour des bains de soleil, il y a un barbecue et des transats. Elle est de plus complètement au calme et bien abritée de la route - on entend à peine les voitures. Ile s assez facile de prendre le bus ou le train (à 25 minutes à pied) et il est aussi possible de louer une voiture. A proximité nous avons découvert des endroits magnifiques : Cortona (très bons restaurants), Montepulciano, Pienza, Florence, Perugia (magnifique), Arrezzo, Montalcino. N'hésitez pas à demander conseil. Enfin, l'accueil par Paolina et sa famille est fantastique, ce sont des gens attachants et généreux, qui feront tout pour que votre séjour se passe le mieux possible. Nous recommandons donc vivement cette location... Nous y retournerons d'ailleurs avec plaisir !
