It is a three dollar taxi ride to La Mirage a must stop for exquisite dining! Breakfast was included and ample to start your day! Owner is fluent in English and is happy to assist your needs! "The two things that stand out to me that I thought were top notch were the convenience of the location and the excellent service by everyone who worked there. The room was not above average but everything else was. I enjoyed having breakfast on the patio each morning and I loved sitting in the garden right outside my door. "Un lugar muy bonito y tranquilo. Vi algunos colibris en el jardín y la familia es muy bonito, habla Quechua y español. Es un camino corto desde el centro de Otavalo pero sentí seguro en caminar allí. So much quieter than other properties in the center of the city. Breakfast is simple but sufficient and I felt safe walking to and from the downtown area for other meals. The owners are wonderful and speak Quechua as well as Spanish. Some beautiful long-tailed hummingbirds were out in the garden."

"Unfortunately there was an issue with their booking system and, although hotels,com showed that they had 3 nights free, they contacted me the morning of my stay to say they could only accommodate me for 2 nights, and I had to move for that last night, which was a bit annoying. But, saying that, the hotel was very comfortable for those 2 nights, quiet and breakfast was very tasty. And the room was very clean. "

"A wonderful indigenous host farm family makes you feel welcome in their home. Guests have their own separate quarters and bath. The farm is small but busy and productive, with cows, food crops, pigs, chickens, guinea pigs, dogs, cats, fruit trees and veggies. The views from above Cotacachi are phenomenal. Volcan Imbabura is on one side of the farm and Volcan Cotacachi on the other."

"Great 'farm' hotel in rustic style and in quiet environment. We liked the food, home made (including the bread for the breakfast!), the service (half hour horse riding for the entire family was included in the room price), and the rural setting of the hotel overall. The swimming pool was warm, filled with volcan hot spring water. One comment: signing on the road is not really clear, especially if you arrive by night. Road from Ibarra (approx. 45 min) is in good condition and safe."
