Cozy Quiet Mountain Gem

For those seeking solitude…..you know who you are… Toast marshmallows and watch the stars at our high altitude, low light pollution mountain paradise gem, privately nestled in a tall pine and aspen forest. Very private, very quiet. At 9,300 feet, the summers are cool, the wildflowers are plentiful and the stars are bright.

Sip your coffee on the deck and maybe the local moose, elk or deer will pay you a visit.
Wildlife you won’t miss- mosquitos! Enjoy your stay in our mosquito free environment.
Sleep upstairs on a queen sized bed or downstairs on the full sized sofa sleeper. The kitchen is fully stocked with cookware, table settings, basic kitchen appliances, cooking utensils. Keurig coffee maker, (including K-cups), microwave and fridge with freezer.

Internet is not provided although the cell phone signal is sufficient enough for most tasks.
We know how important a campfire in the mountains is and as local bans and contidions permit, safe campfires are always welcome. However, if a campfire is temprarily off limits, a gas alternative is provided.
Pets are not allowed due to issues with allergies. Star gazing is especially amazing as it is a high elevation with little light pollution.

The local Cotopaxi Store is about 20 minutes away. They carry gas, groceries, deli, meats and at least one of everything else you could need.

Mountain towns: looking for local shops, restaurants and strolls? Salida and Canon City are both about 45 minutes away.

Looking for some hot springs? There is an indoor hot springs pool in Salida. Mount Princeton is just past Salida with its renowned hot springs.

White Water Rafting: Some of the best in Colorado along the Arkansas River!

Royal Gorge, home of the highest suspension bridge in the US, is a 50 minute drive from the cabin.

Visiting in the Winter? Monarch Mountain is about an hour's drive.

Beautiful little cabin!
One of my favorite Vrbo stays ever! It is tiny which we found very cool and fit us three adults just fine! The remote, woodsy, outdoor feeling was spectacular. The stars were beautiful at night and coffee on the deck watching the sunrise was breathtaking! To top it all off the cabin was extremely clean and stocked with everything you would need! Thanks for a great stay and I 100% recommend this cabin.

Our most enjoyable vacation rental ever. Immaculately clean little house at top of the world with beautiful nature sights and sounds only. Perfect place to detox from everyday pressures and electronic gizmos. We felt the stress leave our bodies during our brief stay. Book this place if you crave relaxation.

Peaceful Mountain Tiny House
Cozy little tiny home tucked away in the hills of Colorado. We enjoyed the seclusion and privacy. You’ll feel very connected to nature with several deer sightings, chipmunks, and hummingbirds. The cabin has a well stocked kitchen with extras like s’mores, popcorn, hot chocolate, tea, and coffee! The bathroom homemade bar soap was a cute personal touch! It’s a perfect spot for a couples getaway!

Perfect Mountain Getaway
The property was perfect! It was wonderfully secluded and quiet. Amenities were spot on. We found everything we needed for a delightful night by the fire pit. The night was chilly and they had everything we would need to be cozy. Extra blankets, plenty of heaters and a teapot to make tea. The giant selling point point to anyone looking to steal away for a romantic night in the mountains: the view from the bed at sunrise is breath taking. With the loft bringing you a little above the treeline and the position of the cabin, there is a perfect view of the sun coming up in the valley below. Definitely would recommend this little haven in the mountains

Nice property and beautiful surroundings! My only challenge was climbing up to the loft bed. I struggled with having one hip replacement and needing another but I managed!

Amazing Mountain Property
Lovely cozy little place in the woods with beautiful forest surrounding the property. We only stayed one night, but once we got to the property we wished we would have booked a longer stay. Highly recommend this adorable place in the woods to get away from any hustle and bustle of city life to enjoy the stars at night and the birds by day.

Loved the fresh smell of cut wood from the new build. Very quiet and cozy. The trails were great for a morning hike that we shared with a herd of deer.
