"Grinning Bear Lodge was exactly as advertised. Quiet, peaceful, and yet close to activities and services. The lodge was very clean and well kept. Everything you need to stay and not leave if that’s what you want to do. Sit on the deck and view the wildlife and the stars. Even saw a bear on the property."
"The property was great. We had enough room for 13 adults and teens and 1 baby. The owner's communications included everything we needed to know and were responsive when a problem arose. They checked in frequently to make sure everything was going well. The property was very convenient to the ski area and close to Angel Fire Village restaurants and stores."
"We have stayed in this community previously and love the area. Overall we just felt this cabin was not cleaned well. I know they have a cleaning person, but there were dirty walls, stained carpet that smelled of animal urine, dirty wood floors, the bed smelled like someone had slept in it and they hadnt washed the sheets. We bought detergent and washed the sheets and pillow cases to continue staying there. It was nice and quiet at night and the nature is great. It was definitely rustic, which we didn't mind, but overall it just didn't feel clean. Our experience did not match the photos or other reviews. "
