Cozy cottage along the beautiful Mitchell River

If you enjoy the outdoors, the sounds of the river flowing, and watching wildlife you will love staying at our cozy cottage. You can take a stroll along or go fishing at the river. There is a1so a firepit that you can relax by. Inside the cottage is everything you will need to be comfortable. As you watch TV or read a good book, you can turn on the gas logs in the fireplace. There are conveniences such as high speed internet and a smart TV. If you want to cook there is a full kitchen with dishes, utensils, and appliances. You will have a great view of the river from every room.
Occasionally, we do have baptisms at the river. We will let you know ahead if there is one scheduled.
It is located within 10 minutes from downtown Elkin, 15 minutes from Dobson, and 30 minutes from Mt Airy. We are close to many vineyards. If you enjoy hiking or beautiful views we are close to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Stone Mountain State park, and Pilot Mountain.

This is a fantastic little cottage on a gorgeous property! The cottage was very clean and had all of the basic necessities. This property is located nearby to multiple vineyards and small towns, yet it feels very secluded and quiet! I would definitely recommend visiting!

Wonderful location in close proximity to local wineries, Stone Mountain and Pilot Mountain State Parks. The property affords privacy and access to the Mitchell River. The owner maintains the property very well and is readily available to address any questions.

Peaceful Cottage Retreat
Joyce's cottage is the perfect place to relax and breathe deep. The setting is so beautiful and peaceful with the river running through the back of the property. I also noticed several different types of birds and wildlife. If you're looking for a quiet getaway, this is the place for you.

Our stay was relaxing and peaceful. We love staying there. My husband loves to fish for fun and we will return again in the near future. The cottage is very clean and stocked well. Perfect Mountain Cottage
This cottage was the perfect gettaway for two!! We were in the area for a wedding and stayed here and it was perfect. Just what my husband and I needed. Great Little Hideaway
This cottage was perfect for a couple. Even though it’s near the road, it’s orientation makes you feel like there’s no one for miles. The view overlooking the yard and stream was very peaceful. The proximity to wineries and hiking was nice and it’s just a short drive to Mount Airy. Definitely recommended for a couple escaping the city.

This place was the cleanest I have ever rented. It is cozy. The kitchen had everything you could need. So clean! So Peaceful! I was there alone to spend time with God. It was the perfect place! The surrounding area is so nice too.

Nice place great location
Well thought out setup for small cottage. Close enough to the local attractions but not in town. While we got out a did the tourist thing, you could easily stay right there with fishihng in the river or swimming in it and nice fire pit. The cottage itself is setup well for a small place very cozy for 2 people. The only draw back is the secuirty light shining in the window. I liked to had heavy curtain or something to block it out at night.
