"The tea towel for drying dishes was absolutely stinking of dampness, obviously wasn't clean! There was no kitchen roll so had to use one of the bath towels - it also had dirty marks on. The livingroom/sitting area was stinking of dogs. The plug-in air freshener was empty. Couldn't figure out how to use the grill."

"The hotel did not inform us that it was under complete reconstruction and offered us an alternative that was out of the local area we expected and gave us less tha than 24 hour notice when everything in the area was booked up due to a major sporting event. Very shadey way to operate. "

"Two nights with little sleep - the main culprits being the polyester sheets on the bed and the constant clicking from the radiator. Not a restful break at all. It has a pleasant enough setting, albeit up a rutted farm track, and would probably be more fun in summer, but is not really suited for dark and cold winter nights."

"There was nothing not to like about the flat. It was very reasonably priced, had a lovely view of the water and Arran, it is central enough and on the second floor. It was very clean. The only thing it lacked was a dishwasher but that’s not a big deal when there are only two of you. "

"We have just returned home from a very peaceful and relaxing couple of days at Cleeves Cabins. We stayed in the Arran Lodge which was very clean and comfortable. It had everything you needed for a wonderful stay including a wonderful hot tub on the decking. We spent many hours in the evening relaxing and watching the stars in the lovely warm hot tub. "Our family group of eight adults, two children and two dogs enjoyed a weekend but the house is so well equipped we could easily have stayed longer. Plenty of space for everyone and very comfortable. The house manager Theresa could not have been more helpful. We’d like to return."

"Enjoyed the weekend at Wauchope Cottage. Perfect location to explore the coast and Galloway forest area of SW Scotland. House is super clean and much more room than we expected. The grounds are gorgeous and we loved walking around. It would be nice if there was an opportunity to visit the castle to see the inside. This is a fairly remote property, so be prepared to drive to anything you need. But so quiet and peaceful."

"The owner was not available for contact once I reached the property after a 3 hr Train ride. After several attempts to contact in order to get into the property, we ended up booking at another place. This was very, very hard, since the OPEN was going on and there were NO vacancies. Eventually, after making a lot of phone calls we were able to book another place to stay. "
